At Nite Ize, we believe no product is too small or basic to be improved. Exhibit A: the classic utility carabiner. We took a hard look at this ubiquitous device and saw two good opportunities to make it more efficient. We designed an innovative slide-to-lock feature that securely locks the gate with a simple push and slide movement, and unlocks when you want it to just as easily. Then, instead of a bulky tubular construction, we designed a cross sectioned, rectangular stainless steel body that's durable, low profile, and slim; it feeds more easily through smaller openings and rests flat in pockets. Available in two sizes: #4 (perfect for attaching to a belt loop or backpack to carry larger items.) and #2 (for carrying smaller items like keys, and attaching to zipper pulls).

This is a very solid key ring. You can put many keys on this key ring and everything will be kept on it safely. The stainless steel is sturdy and feels great in the hands. The slide has a lock mechanism to prevent the keys from falling out. I can hang this in my backpack or on a key ring holder and wouldn't have to worry if it would break or lose my keys. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

This has become my new key holder. I take it to work then use it for my personal keys at home. The construction is solid. Its a caribeaner style but not meant for climbing. The quality is nice, very easy to use. Has a sliding bar that secures your keys onto the device. I plan to purchase several more of these for the key rings I use at the properties I manage. I highly recommend this. This ends your keys ever falling off conventional key holders that clip to your belts!

Handy key ring. Holds numerous keys and rings. Seems sturdy. Good size and good weight. The unique feature is a lock that slides down easily to engage the lock that prevents the carabiner from accidentally opening. It is made of stainless steel construction and spring loaded closure that seems to be of good quality. After the spring loaded shaft is closed simply slide the lock ring down and it snaps into place to secure the keys. The lock is basically a loop of plastic but seems to be good quality, it slide downs the shaft of the spring closure and then snaps into a hook keeping it locked.

Sturdy medium duty carabiner
This carabiner is much better designed/built than your typical dollar store carabiner. It's rated for 70 pounds so it'll do more than clips your keys to it. It has a really nice weight to it and this one is flat, not tubular, like most other generic carabiners. Seems a lot sturdier. Currently, I'm using this on my key chain however, should the needs arise, I know that I can use this for other significant loads.

Good carabiner to carry a key ring on a belt
This carabiner is good for securely carrying one or more key rings on a belt or belt loop. This carabiner has a wide enough latch opening to allow it to be attached or removed easily from a standard 1-1/4" wide belt by rotating it over a belt while the latch is open versus having to remove and re-lace a belt.
This carabiner has a sliding plastic lock that can be slid down to lock the carabiner closed to prevent the carabiner from opening in any position until the slide is moved up. This carabiner holds a key ring very securely without the slide lock and it is easy to remove a key ring with one hand without looking when the slide lock is not in the locked position especially while carrying things and trying to unlock and open a door with a free hand.
I use the slide lock feature on this carabiner when I don't need to remove a key ring very often. I prefer to carry a key ring attached to a belt versus in a pants or coat pocket because it is uncomfortable to keep a bulky key ring in a pants pocket all day and key rings sometimes get forgotten or misplaced in clothing. This carabiner is rugged and is made of stamped steel and has a nice black paint finish.
