Wirelessly Connected Battery Operated Black LED Spotlight with Outdoor Motion Sensor

This is tough to review because I have had a lot of difficulty just setting it up. The directions leave something to be desired. I have had to call for help twice because it was rather complicated. The customer service rep was very nice and patient. On the other hand, the device itself is sturdy and works very well once it connects. You can set the spotlight to stay on from 10 seconds up to one minute and it is very bright. It can be mounted on the wall or there is a metal stake for ground installation. It can be added to a light system if you have one already. The motion sensor picks up movement right away. and turns on the light. We have ours installed facing the woods behind our house because we get a lot of wild animals during the night and want to keep them away from our yard.

NOVOLINK Outdoor Battery Operated Black Motion Sensing LED Spotlight with Connected Motion Sensor We have a very large (and very dark) fenced back yard with a fair number of shade trees, and multiple dogs that like to roam its confines, usually right when we don’t want them to (before bed). Because of the size of the yard, running electrical lines for hardwired lighting really isn’t viable, and we’ve tried solar motion-activated lights in the past with variable success, so battery-operated is really the most logical option. First thing you notice about the NovoLink spotlight is both the size and the weight – it’s a lot heavier than I expected, and that’s before installing the four (4) required D-cell batteries in the light itself. Usually, something with a decent heft to it tends to impart a sense of quality, but whether the same applies here is something only time will tell. The install is simple and provides two options: a metal stake for in-ground/landscape installation and a bracket for mounting on a wall, eave, fencepost, etc. The motion sensor is mounted separately (and of course requires its own set of AA batteries), and I find I prefer it over the typical all-in-one light & sensor combo. For us, the advantage is that we’re able to mount the light on the fence at the back of the yard and the sensor to a nearby tree; given that one or two of the dogs will be roaming in other parts of the yard, it’s almost guaranteed the area will be lit up when one of them is just out of range of what a typical motion sensor light would be detecting. The light output is a decent brightness, and the app allows you to control the light’s duration from 10 seconds to 1 minute. The app also allows for testing of the motion sensor, and you can assign the light (or multiples) to zones of your choosing. The app also references a controller than can be added to use a timer of some sort, but that controller was not an included part of this package. Unfortunately, like so many other apps these days this one is a bit glitchy; as you can see from the pictures, the app is telling me the device must be used with a motion sensor, even though it’s already paired to the motion sensor (and working) properly. I could call in for further support, but frankly it’s not worth my time since it seems to be working properly otherwise. Overall, I think I’m satisfied with the light; my only real concern is how long the batteries will last, but even if it’s only a few months I suppose it’s a relatively small price to pay for the convenience.

This is a Bluetooth motion detector battery powered spotlight that comes with an app! The app allows you to test the motion detector and set the duration for light. The kit comes with two light mounts. You can mount the light to a wall or ground mount it with the included components. The motion detector can be wall mounted or lashed to a post with the included belt mount. Its all plastic and sealed to withstand moisture. I was unable to "schedule when the lights turn on or off" or "set motion sensor preferences" with the Android app. However, the motion detector and the light duration settings work great. Great little light for when you need a little light in an area where there is no power. You literally unpack, put some batteries in and off you go. I will say, the pairing was a little confusing but after I figured it out I realized I had paired it correctly the first time. Also, the batteries in the light unit are big so I am hoping they last a LONG time before the need for replacement. Lastly, the motion sensor seems to be affected by the light shining on it and going on and off so you need to mount the motion sensor so that that light doesn't directly shine on it or else it will cycle on and off due to the change in light when the unit turns off. Other than that its a great unit and provides some nice light.

The Novolink outdoor battery operated light is very easy to install and can be set up for installation in different ways. Up lighting, down lighting or spotlighting is simple with two mounting systems for the lite. The system is bluetooth operated so it can be expanded into multiple zones when you add more lights to the system. The control program can be downloaded into any device that is bluetooth capable and then you can make different zones to your liking. This is an excellent system and it can be installed by anyone.

This is a great battery powered motion sensor spotlight. I installed this on a wall on the side of my house. Since the pandemic, family comes over and we social distance in our back yard. If/when they leave after sundown, the side of the house was not well lit. This is working great so far to light up the pathway. Motion detection is accurate and has a good reaction time. There is an App you can download (Novolink) which lets you adjust basic settings for the motion sensor and light (on/off duration, etc). You can also add additional Novolink lights and control all of them from the single App. Pretty convenient. I do wish this used AA or even C batteries instead of D size, however I'm hoping they last a long time. Installation instructions are included and are simple to follow. Includes 6 screws with anchors (3 for the main light, and 2 for the motion sensor). So far, it's been installed for about a week, and the light still comes on and seems bright. If you're looking for a battery powered LED spotlight, this one should do the job light up your space.

If you are using the latest version of iOS, be warned that the app that is needed to set this up is not fully compatible and the top of the apps is cutoff from view. It took a couple of tries to get it setup properly, but eventually I got it by touching the top of the screen and finding the buttons. The motion sensor can be mounted on a wall separately, and the light itself can be mounted on the wall or in the ground by using the included stake. The light and motion sensor seem to work well together and the response time of the light coming on when motion is detected was very quick. The light seems fairly bright and there are lots of options for mounting.

This is a combination product of a battery powered LED light and a battery powered motion sensor. Without the two neither wouldn't serve any purpose. Both the light and the sensor are well made with gaskets to allow an outdoor installation. Note that batteries are not included so you'll need to have 4 D size and 3 AA batteries available to install. I have mine mounted above the generator so in case I have a late night need for power, this battery powered light should work just fine. The light and the motion sensor linked up effortlessly with their app. Note, they must be installed in the same zone in the app to work together. Also, Novolink makes a 3rd product, a smart controller that will allow you to set times the light will function thus saving battery life.

This Novolink Outdoor Battery Operated Black Motion Sensing Led Spotlight with Connected Motion Sensor is a very nice light. We are trying to find a place in our yard to use it. Directions are easy to read and simple to understand. There is also a app you can use on your phone for it which my husband already installed. He's getting ready to put it up and try it out hopefully by this week he will get it done.

The Novolink outdoor battery operated led spotlight works really well. It comes with a separate motion sensor and can detect motion up to 30 feet. The spot light is powered by 4 size D batteries and the motion sensor is powered by 3 size AA batteries. The batteries should last a long time because the spotlight is Led. It comes with all the needed hardware and is very easy to install. The spotlight puts out a bright light to light things up very good at night. I did show a good rating on installation because once you get it all hung, you have to download the free Novolink Lightscape App before it will work. It is not hard to do and directions are easy and fast to follow.
