Good Grips Upright Sweep Set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have hardwood floor at home and any dust or food particle is clearly visible on it. Therefore, I always keep broom handy for quick clean up. I really liked the OXO upright sweep set because its lightweight and easy to carry around the home. Its convenient for me to use it in the home, and I use it multiple times in a day. It sweeps well and upright dustpan comes handy for collecting the debris. The broom can be tucked in the dustpan handle and it makes it convenient to store in a small space. Now, I don't have to worry about losing the broom. The only thing that I wish could have been better is the height of the broom. It is small in size, I wish it was little taller. Else, it is a good sweep set for everyday use.

It’s so convenient to use on hardwood floors and sweep the dust into the pan as you go instead of collecting the debris in a corner. The broom bristles work really well to pick up dust, hair and whatever else is on the floor. The slim design of the broom head and handle allow it to fit under my furniture so I can do some deep cleaning. The dust pan also has fingers to help dislodge debris and clear the broom bristles. The only thing I don’t like is the length of the broom handle. For me it feels a bit short so if it were a couple inches longer it would have been ideal.

The convenient clip keeps both pieces attached so I'm never searching for the broom or dustpan. The dustpan hinges open and stays open so sweeping in debris is a breeze. I also love the broom cleaner pegs to get larger pieces of dust off the broom. I hate storing dirty cleaning supplies! This set is very sturdy I see this lasting a long time! Definitely recommend.

I thought they extended but, they don't. That was my mistake. It works great for small areas and my grandkids will love using it, haha!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OXO sweeper set is great for a dustpan. It stands upright and can lean against a wall. The dustpan, when down stands on its own without any support. There's bristle cleaning teeth on the pan which is a terrific idea. The seal on the bottom prevents the dirt from going under the pan like it normally does. The sweeper snaps right into the pan handle and stays put. The dustpan locks up and is easy to empty and clean. The broom is very very small, it's about a third the size of a normal broom and the handle is very short. It's not really usable for sweeping the floor, unless you're under 4' tall; but it is amazing for sweeping up a dust/dirt pile.

This broom and dust pan set are exactly what I needed to hide in the small space between my fridge and wall. Having a small kitchen, I needed something that could hide easily, but also be used easily. I like that the dustpan had rubber "fingers" to take off any unwanted material stuck on the broom. It works for most things, but not for the long hair. The broom and dust pan grip well and use well. Great product, but a bit pricey. It's built to last, so it should be a one-time buy.

OXO Good grips upright Sweep set is quite adequate for quick clean up around the kitchen or in areas of the house that doesn't require large bulky brooms for immediate tidying up. Compact design to store in a hall closet or tall cabinet which eliminates eye sore display for those who are a bit on the OCD camp such as I. Not a telescoping handle but dustpan locks in the open position for more controlled dust pickup and disposal, and has a rubber lip for optimal contact with the floor. I like the fact that the dustpan teeth combs out dirt and dust from the broom's soft, feathered bristles, which grab dust and dirt easily.

I just love this Broom and Dust Pan set. It's efficient yet compact; the upright broom snaps right back into its holding bracket attached to the dust pan handle when the job is done. There it stays firmly planted until the next time it's needed. This set is a perfect space saver, especially for those living in the small spaces. For example, I live in a small studio where storage space is at premium, which is exactly where this OXO Upright Broom and Dust Pan come to the rescue. Guess what, the set can be stored either upright or horizontally. After a bit of fiddling, I discovered that the bracket on the top of the dust pan can be rotated, thus enabling the entire set to be positioned horizontally without taking much of the upright space; this is very important in the tight quarters. In this case scenario, you can just slide it under the bed. Alternately, you can store the set standing up with the dust pan positioned horizontally. The base of the dustpan measures 8 inches by 9.25 inches at the widest part. I will be keeping this broom and the dust pan in the linen closet in the bathroom. It is an indispensable tool for the quick clean ups like sweeping a few loose crumbs that escaped or sweeping around the litter boxes. Before I had this set, I would grab a broom and a dust pan that only now I realized, are actually bulky and take double space when stored, let alone being in full view at all times. There is no way to keep them discreetly stored away in the linen closet, so they take valuable space outside. Good riddance to them, now that I have OXO dust pan and broom set. The dust pan is equipped with a flexible lip to enable easy sweeping into it, and the broom bristles can even get a quick clean up by a set of 18 rubberized pins at the top of the dustpan. All the dust bunnies and the like are quickly leaving the bristles and fall into the pan, amazing! It's a well thought up design, sturdy, versatile, ergonomic, well constructed set, and I can't be happier. I highly recommend this OXO Upright Broom and Dust Pan to anyone. It makes a great housewarming gift, too.

This is a OXO product. Easy to use dust pan and broom. Here is what I like about it. The broom head is angled at the end of it, it is not straight. See pic. This is an important feature. I have also the blue Quickie dust pan and broom, that has a straight broom at the end. That one make it very tiring on the hand to use. This makes the OXO broom is much much better on the hand and does not make your hand tired when sweeping with it. This broom is also light weight aluminum with a oblong plastic handle that is also comfortable to hold and grasp. The bristle is softer and longer so that its not difficult to sweep with. The Quickie version is much more difficult in comparison to use since it has shorter, stiffer bristles. The dust pan has a reddish rubber edge so that it can meet the floor surface evenly when you sweep. There is also what look like a big red comb on it. That is there so that you can comb your broom bristle thru it easily to loosen off anything sticking on the bristle. It is a nice feature that I find easy to use and useful. It is also a decent capacity dustpan, nice weight and durable plastic material used, that I can walk about the house to sweep up any loose materials on the floor. See pics. Easy to stow away as there is a clip that you can hold the broom and dust pan together. You can also adjust the dust pan vertical to hang too.
