54 in. Plumbers Putty Roll, Gray

This Oatey 54 in. Plumbers Putty Roll Gray is great for your sink projects to seal drains with. It is very easy to use to secure leaks in a drain with no mess. Directions are easy to read and follow for you to place it on your drain. This comes in handy when you have a leak and need to fix it fast. We have a similar problem with our sink and needed to fix it fast.

I didn't need an entire tub of Oatey plumber's putty so I did the next best thing by getting this 54 inch roll. Its great for setting bathroom sink drains. The putty strip is wrapped in concentric circles and separated by a paper strip. It was soft and easy to form around the drain and it cleans up very well. I like that the putty formula is made from materials that won't stain your porcelain. I've used it for a variety of other applications too. Makes a great seal for patching small holes in aluminum siding too.

This Oatey plumbers putty roll is a vast improvement in getting putty out of the container and forming it into shape before applying apply. Before, I had to use one of my fingers to dig a a lump out of a container and then shape it before applying; now, I just have to easily peel off the paper backed tape and off the roll for as much as I needed. Besides quick usage, you get a cleaner way to apply the putty. This plumbers putty roll is stainless waterproof fixture setting compound for faucets, bowls and water pipes.

What a great product! I was very pleased to try this form of Oatey plumbers putty after using the plastic container for many years. This roll of putty is so easy to use and I love the fact that I don't have to roll it to shape it (even though it does not stick to your hands and does not have a strong odor). This 54" strip is about 1/2" wide and is paper backed for easy removal. It is very flexible and moist and forms a waterproofing seal for setting plumbing fixtures with rigid surfaces such as tub and sink fixtures, faucets, bowls, rims, strainers, or drains. It is not recommended for porous surfaces such as marble, granite, or plastic. I am happy to have found this item at Home Depot.

Being a professional handyman, I've always used Oatey Plumber's Putty in the plastic 9-ounce container. Oatey has just come out with the plumber's putty in the 54" roll which is just as reliable what has come from the 9-ounce container. This has been added to their line of plumbing materials and is definitely much easy to handle and use. This putty will remain flexible and will not harden in the future. This putty will not inhibit growth of bacteria in the wet conditions used. I would recommend not using on plastic, ABS. granite or marble for possible staining from the putty. Uses are to setting bowls, rims, strainers and faucets. Just remove the paper portion from amount being used and simply press into place. No more headaches in Moulding the putty into a rope design and placing in place. This putty is very easily worked and remains pliable. Made in the USA! ----
