AnswerHello, thanks for the question! A Sugar Maple tree would survive in Phoenix, but may experience long term issues due to the excessive heat that Sugar Maples aren't accustomed to. Autumn Blaze or October Glory Maple trees would likely serve you best as they both have bright, vivid fall color similar to a Sugar Maple. I hope this answers your question, thank you again!

AnswerMy tree arrived in a timely manner. It was basically a stick maybe 3 ft tall. I figured it was just dormant and put it in the ground, but it’s been weeks and it’s obvious it wasn’t doing ANYTHING. Pulled it up and scored it... there is no green to be found. It’s dead. The roots are shriveled and black.
I live in Central Florida, will the Sugar Maple survive our hot summers?

I bought 3 trees; an Autumn Blaze maple, (doing well), an October Glory maple, smaller and still with little to no growth, and a Sugar maple, (the smallest, still with no growth). They are trees, and I am patient...but it is hard to recommend at this time. Feel free to ask me again for a review in 2 weeks! (They were all planted 2 weeks ago.)

I bought 2 plants in June and delivery was done within 2 weeks. Which was nice. But I am still waiting for 2 months and no sign of new leaves. I think they are not going to survive though I water them on a regular basis. May not buy barefoot plant in future.
