This is the second item from the Seeds program list I have selected to evaluate for annual maintenance list on the Kohler 17.5 Hp riding mower. Impurities in gasoline, stagnation from non-use over the winter can cause gumming and loss of sufficient fuel flow to the carburetor. I replace this part after several seasons of use. Please refer to the product compatibility list for your specific model. The filter consists of a 15 micron round fiber filter encased in a clear plastic housing which has a raised embossed flow directional arrow on the clear body with flared nipples for secure line connections. The unit meets or exceeds OEM standards. Installation of the unit was easy. Using a compression ring plier, removal of the hose clamps and old unit hastened the process. Total time for installation of both the Oregon air filter and fuel filter was less than 5 minutes. Save yourself money and aggravation after the mowing season starts by doing a little PM now. Very nice quality in line fuel filter. Markings on the filter to assure proper fuel flow. Fits my John Deere mower, or any engine with 1/4 inch fuel line. Transparent to see if it needs changed from contaminants. Regular hose clamps or spring clips can be used to fasten the hose to the filter. Good micron size to keep contaminants out of your fuel system

This is a replacement for Kawasaki, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, and Toro brands. Oregon replacement parts are built to meet or exceed OEM standards. This filter has a handy directional flow arrow on the body incase you forget which way to install it. The filter is 2-3/8" long ant the outer diameter is 1-5/8". You should change your filter regularly to keep any impurities from damaging your engine. I would recommend this.

I expected it to tmbe the original size on the mower...the picture made it appear larger than it really is. I wanted it double that size... it won't filter enough and will probably restrict the proper fuel flow
