Does this come with mounting equipment or is it just the shelf?

AnswersIt comes with three 3 inch screws to attached the wooden mount to studs. It does not include drywall or brick anchors, so you'll need additional hardware for mounting the mantel to brick, concrete or drywall without reinforcement. It also has two smaller screws to attach the mantel to the wooden mount.
Can this be mounted on a brick fireplace?

AnswerHello! Thank you for your question. The cleat is installed to the wall using 3 screws that are provided. The mantel is then secured to the cleat with finish nails. We are happy with the way the mantel looks and the ease of installation. However, I rated it 3 stars because the front of the mantel had a "line" down the front of possibly a dark brown cut line. You'll see these occasionally in wood from how it was cut, but this was so obvious that it drew your eyes right to it. The top and bottom looked great, I don't know why they would use this piece of wood as the front. I sanded the front to get rid of the line, then stained the mantel and it looks good now.
