Yes, this product is quite excellent for Shower stalls, bath tubs and sinks. This is the only product I use for my drains, it's quick and safe for all pipes,,

Can it be used for toilets?

Asked by Tati July 14, 2020

No, not what it's made for. Tooth brushes are plastic and last longer than we do. It probably made it through the drain into the sewer, then no problem. If not, it might catch material in the toilet and cause clogs, in which case you'll need a plumber.

Safe to use if I have a cesspool?

Yes, no doubt, but do not use in water closets, not a good remedy for large pipes like toilets, it is recommended for small pipes like sinks and bathtubs,,

When I do laundry, and the water drains, it comes up in my kitchen sink. Will putting this in kitchen drain solve issue

Asked by PA October 2, 2019

I would say the clog is down stream from the sink otherwise the drain for the washer would be backing up, instead of the sink. I have the same issue, but have lived with it being the sink handles the water up until getting a new washer that uses more water. I found pouring lots of boiling water down the sink drain has corrected the problem, which I now do every month.

Has anyone used this to clear out rust from galvanized piping?

Can I pour Pequa into standing water? My tab is clogged

Read the directions carefully. It will tell you if this works on standing water. I have used this product when my drains are slow and it works every time.

My shower tub backs up after 2-3 mins of use. It does drain but slowly. I have snaked it with a 20ft and it comes out clean.

NOT safe to use in a septic tank system as it will destroy the "beneficial" bacteria. It's best you use mechanical means to clear the clog

--> FINALLY a drain opener that WORKS!!! <--
I have tried EVERYTHING on the market - literally everything (Draino, Instant Power, Liquid Lightning, etc.), I've even tried every home remedy (Dawn dish soap with hot water, etc.) and nothing worked... until now. My shower was draining slower and slower every day. Pequa was my last shot before I called a plumber (no offense to plumbers but I didn't have an extra $200 for a house call). This stuff REALLY works! I followed the directions, but actually let it sit overnight, then I boiled a pot of water and poured it down the drain. FINALLY it flowed perfectly! It's been over two weeks and everything is still working well. I cannot sing the praises of this drain opener enough!

I actully purchased the galon (128-oz) version of this magnificnet product. I was gonna get the Green Gobbler and came accross this one instead. There was only one gallon left way back in the shelf, lucky me, and something told me to give it a try. I poured it in the sink and the next morning everything was running smooth again. Very powerful stuff!! Lots of safety warnings on the label, so please use gloves when handling it. Worth every penny, especially if you're lucky enough to get the gallon version. HIGHLY recommnded.
