Product Details

Boilers operate at low pressure to prevent pressure from building when the water is heated. The system must have a place for this water to go that is the job if the expansion tank. Heated water pushes against the diaphragm pushes the water back into the system.

          Easy install and such an important maintenance item
          My existing expansion tank was filled with water, was able to get to Home Depot 15 minutes before closing and was in stock. Was installed within 30 minutes no problem. Dont forget the teflon tape for the threads

            Not worth the headache!
            Installed this tank on boiler with new relief vavle didn't last 24hrs tank filled with water diaphragm failed. Picked up a new tank from plumbing supply same specs different brand now everything works great.
