Precision makes nice products. The Black Square Plastic Baluster Connectors I bought should come with a Torq bit. I had a hard time finding one that fit properly and drove the screws in! I stripped a few before finding one. BTW I don't know which No. bit it was? I tried #15 but it stripped the screw. Also Precision needs to bundle these packs with all square and not mix them with stair connectors! I am unable to spec out my job correctly because there is no way to determine how many there are of each!? I have enough stair connectors to do 20 sets of steps! Who has that many steps in a single deck job? Also Home Depot sent one 20 count package of Round Connectors that I have to return.

nice railing
I recently installed this deck railing system and I am pleased with the results. I only gave it 4 stars because the connectors are plastic and unsure how they will last over time. take your time pre-drilling holes and you'll end up with a nice finished product.

Don't fit
These products don't fit the description online. They are suggested to go with the pergatha balusters but they do not fit unless you cut each one down to size

Would give higher rating if they were usable! Materials seemed quality enough HOWEVER the O.D. of balausters are ¾" and the O.D. of the inserts are ¾"! You can't even tamper with either/both to get them to fit. My customer got round balausters instead of the square they wanted. DON'T BUY THESE.

This product (once I finally got the shipment in) worked quite well on a new deck railing. These connectors along with the "Precision" balusters look great on the rail and are pretty easy to install if you follow the directions. Note you need to use these connectors with the same maker balusters. I have read that folks that tried to use these with other balusters or the Precision balusters with other connectors had epic fails. This is a really good, relatively inexpensive and good looking option to install balusters on railings.
