Ergonomic Universal Adjustable Handle Attachment

$ 19 95

Overview

The ProHandle is an ergonomically designed Back-Saver handle attachment that is added on to any straight-handled, stick tool such as a garden shovel, snow shovel, rake, mop, hoe, push broom, scrub brush, weed whacker or steam cleaner. The design helps one to work with a better, less stressful posture by reducing the need to bend which reduces the risk of back injury. 5 customized positions allow the ProHandle to work with the body’s natural movement and form and are particularly helpful for those with arthritic conditions or other joint ailments. This reduces strain and injury to lower back muscles and joints while helping the body to move and lift properly in the garden, during construction, landscaping or janitorial work, or even on a boat. No tools are required. Comfortable, large, ergonomically designed knobs allow the ProHandle to be easily attached or removed and are designed for ease of use by the gloved hand of a worker or those with arthritic conditions, particularly among the Boomer population. The ProHandle is also designed to withstand repetitive shock especially when digging in snow or in the garden. Thumbscrews compress rubber inserts tightly around the tool’s shaft ensuring that the side clamps bite in and remain in place even during the most rigorous work. The ProHandle is currently used by many government, state and city agencies such as the U.S. National Guard, U.S. Coast Guard, NYC Parks Dept., NY & NJ Board of Education & Botanical Gardens.

Ergonomic Universal Adjustable Handle Attachment is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke after third use I bought this as a recommendation from The Wirecutter, and I did enjoy using it while it lasted, and it was a huge back saver, but the 1st and 2nd time I used it was for 5 minutes of snow shovelling, and a year and a half later, I used it this last week for about 30 minutes of snow shoveling. Not too heavy, but a lot of sidewalk when the handle snapped off the shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suggested by my therapist, as I needed help due to injurd hand Because of a hand injury my therapist suggested I explore various garden tool products. I found PROHANDLE on Home Depot's website and purchased it. Have used it on my rake, hoe, broom, indoor mop and other handled work tools. I contacted the manufacturer a to its use with a shovel and pitch fork. I was told the shovel which could be used with the PROHANDLE was Home Depot's fiberglass handle shovel. Since I must use a shovel often, and my 12 year old shovel has about had it, I decided to purchase the fiberglass handle shovel. I would recommend the PROHANDLE to anyone, whether they have any physical limitations or not.

However, I cannot recommend a product that, when it breaks WITHIN THE WARRANTY, the manufacturer/distributor will NOT RESPOND to emails to three different accounts they list and a voicemail left on their phone. I was using the shovel in December, leaned it against the house, and for some reason, it slid off and landed on the ground. The handle broke into two pieces. It was about 28 degrees outside, and the shovel was being used lightly if at all (I was mostly using a snow blower). When it worked, the ProHandle worked well. But why would a company like this simply refuse to respond to any way I try to contact them about their handle breaking while within warranty? It sounds like they don't want to stand behind their product. Buyer beware!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Product for Women! I bought this tool to assist me in my gardening. I am a young mother with a bad back and this makes cleaning (sweeping/mopping) and gardening enjoyable again! My neighbor has taken hold of my pro handle and I'm not sure I will ever get it back! I love my Pro Handle!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly a back saver Just had the opportunity to try it while clearing my two car driveway and sidewalks of a heavy 3-inch snow. Being able to avoid the bending saved my fragile lower back from any strain. If you have to disassmble the ProHandle to mount it (there is a D-handle on the end or your shovel), I suggest you first tighten all the screws to "set" the nuts. Then separate the two parts. When assembling, start the screws gently until you get a bite on the nuts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ProHandle - wow ! I bought one on a whim - now my wife and I fight over it. I use it outside for leaves, snow, digging, etc., she uses it inside for sweeping, mopping, etc. We liked it so much I had to buy another !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most versatile and durable product I've ever purchased I've owned my pro handle for 15 years, snow shovels have come and gone but I just keep on putting my pro handle on a new shovel. I was going to buy a new pro handle many times but I never had to. The way its going ill be able to leave it to my son for many more years To come. The best accessory I've ever purchased.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good design This product served it's purpose of taking the strain off my back when mopping. I did, however, have to find a piece of foam to put between my mop handle and the device as my handle was too small for the device to properly tighten against.
