Iron Hardness Plus Kit

A:  It wasn't available in-store at my local Home Depot (Fairfax, VA). I ordered it online using the ship-to-store option and then picked it up in store. There was no shipping charge.

A:  You just use it on a vial of water.

A:  The iron hardness plus test kit comes with everything you need to test your water for 8 contaminants including iron, chlorine, copper, nitrate, nitrite, alkalinity, pH, hardness, test vial and instructions. Thank you.

A:  You use it on a sample of your water. It doesn't install in the system.

A:  No installation of anything....its just a litmus test with strips of paper that read a color corresponding to hardness and pH and such. Super easy to use! Dio in water and call it a day!

A:  There is nothing to install, you just put the water in a plastic vial provided in the kit and use the dip strips.

A:  some of the test kits do have shelf life, some don't. Shelf life will vary. Can't tell you that.

A:  Just fyi, I looked thoroughly on the package and did not see an expiration date or anything like that.

A:  On the back of the test kit is a small, rectangular tag. I ordered several and they all say 0082022: August of 2022.

A:  It has an expiration sticker on the box - good for about 2 years for what I received

A:  Sorry, I don't know about iron. This kit helped me to measure water hardness but mine is from calcium/lime.

A:  It has test kit for iron, copper, chlorine, nitrates,alkalinity, and hardness. You just need to match with the ppm color for each test.
