5 Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System with Pre-Filter Kit

With water softener my TDS was 183 ppm. With pure drop, TDS dropped to 1-2 ppm; unbelievable performance far above standard RO rejection rate of 85% and well above their own standard of greater than 90% hence 5 stars. This is a comprehensive review for both home owner and manufacturer. The number one gripe with this unit is the joke of a faucet and convoluted assembly their of; I include a picture of both the joke faucet and something respectable that comes with copper hosing. Please realize that all RO are low flow systems; that’s why hoses are 1/4” and that’s why you can’t connect it to main tap which uses 3/8” @ high flow whereas faucet is 1/4” @ low flow, that’s why all RO systems include pressured tank to give faucet respectable flow, for this unit up to 2 gallons at a time, 3 gallon tank but 1 gallon is for pressure. Instructions are meh, could be better, could be far worse, the main gripe being that hoses and connections should be colour coded such that tubing instruction should simply write, “all hoses and connections are colour coded”. Similarly there’s no mention to install drain above p-trap, and to minimize drip install on side of pipe instead of top. In my oponion the connection from stage 3 to 4 should be a copper pipe because that is the highest risk tension stress of all connections because you have to affix stage five on top of stage 4 and this torques said connection especially on stage 3 side. There’s a filter-less junction connecting 4 hoses, 2 per side that makes an annoying buzzing sound much more prominent when tank is emptied and filling; have to contact them about that one. FYI I mounted my tank horizontally against black PVC with many zip ties to provide more space, but I do not recommend because it is very likely some of your drain piping will get loose ie the sink pipe can fall out of black pvc drain pipe because it’s installed with the expectation that there is no stress on the system. I recommend you retighten all 3 pre-filters, once you install with you’re thick screw, big thread 1 1/4” screws, not tightened all the way for this step and using included wrench, the first two must be epic tight. The screws they provide are not so good. Secondly when you drain the pre-filters, do it twice turning water completely off at CWSV ( cold water supply valve ). This better protects RO membrane, once again do it once till water clears, off and repeat. Similarly you’ll water to drain tank twice before using. I added a horizontal aluminum l bar to support elevated pre-filters; elevated for room also helps spot leaks, if whole system rest on cabinet base you have to remove it all to assess for leaks kind of annoying hence. Directions were on point! Easy installation, I was missing some parts, but customer service was fast and exceptional to deal with. No other issues. Wanted the best water for my family and there is no doubt I got it. Great product, great service. Had mine hooked up for couple months now. Our water in Decatur, AR is horrible tasting and smelling, but now, with the RO unit its fantastic!

I had five stage reverse osmosis brand ( pure blue H2O) worked for three years then I saw this pure drop at Home Depot, ordered it and installed it myself, it was easy with the instructions took about an hour from start to finish, make sure to drain and run for an hour before using it to clear any carbon in the filters( follow instructions to the end) water tase as good and no Oder or cloudiness, much better than bottled water. We purchase this product a month ago and so far it has met all are expectations. I am a contractor and took me with in an hour to install.

Pure Drop 5-stage RO system was very simple to install. We were impressed with the quality of the components, filters and the fact that the company actually included a set of extra filters for your next filter change-out. We added a couple extra “shark-bite” 1/4” shut off valves and a 1/4” shark bite three way tee, which supplies clean water to our fridge water/ice. Those items are if you need them only, they do include extra 90-degree shark bite adapters and clips which aid with connector reliability (so tubes don’t pop-out), again not really needed because once you insert tubes into connectors these thing hold-tight!

Definitely a five-star product! I’m not a plumber, so I needed an easy-to-install under-sink RO unit. The description and price fit my needs, especially the budget. Followed the installation instructions to the letter. I’d had three days to read and re-read everything a couple of times, so I had no installation problems at all; no leaks; clear water, tastes great. I had no problem drilling the hole in the sink; ½” is actually a bit larger than needed, but a 7/16” opening is just about perfect. The rubber washer could be better if it were just a few mils thicker – it’s not readily obvious whether it provides the best possible seal or not. Not a major issue, but it does give one pause during installation. The tank fits perfectly under the sink with lots of spare room. Not as much capacity as other manufacturers’ tanks, but who really needs 3+ gallons at any given time…? The first fill took less than an hour, there wasn’t much carbon dust to flush out, and the faucet looks good. Side note about tank capacity: I purchased the unit to save money on my aquarium needs; 145 gallons of saltwater for the initial fill would cost me $145, so I hit the break-even point as soon as the aquarium is set up and running; sure, it’s gonna take some time to get all the water ready, but that’s not an issue at all. I had a little bit of “fun” with the installation but that was because the water line is PEX; there was a splice that was so old and crusty it took nearly an hour to remove. I had to visit the local Home Depot to get a ½” to ¼” T connector; a little extra cost ($20) but well worth it. The total cost of the unit & T connector beat all the competition, especially with the spare filters.

I was impressed with the ease, performance and affordability of the iSpring pure drop RO system. It only took me about 2 hours to set up the system and the directions were very helpful. Since setting up, I have had no leaks and no problems. The color coding of the lines were extremely effective in assisting me in the set up of the system. The quality of the water is perfect. There is no discoloration or taste. Excellent customer service! Josh really helped me out!

I have purchased 2 of these units. I put 1 in my home a year or so ago and it worked fantastic. The water taste better than bottle water. I refill water bottles for myself and keep them in my refrigerator, this in itself saves the cost of the original purchase price of this unit over aprox. a year or so. I recently sold that home and moved to a different home so it was a no brainer for me which R O System I would purchase. I purchased the second one of these and installed it in my new home in April 2018 and it works every bit as well as the first one did. If I should happen to move again I will be purchasing another PureDrop 5 stage system.

I had a problem with the other system that was installed in the house. I called for a warranty service and was denied. So, I got on-line and found this system. It was the same type but from a different company also updated with more effective filters. The install was super easy and took me about an hour. The great thing about the install was the hoses are color coordinated with the filter connections. No way to mess that up. Plus the system came with the tools needed to change the filters. We have had this system in now for over a month and just enjoy the tastes of our coffee. Yes, it does make a difference to us. Important fact. shut off the water first and bleed the lines of pressure. yeah, I did. Enjoy.
