The auto lock feature isn’t working. When you set the length and scrape it comes loose very easily.

Answer

If your sure the length adjustment is fully locked and it still comes loose I recommend taking a pipe wrench to grip it tighter when you rotate it to lock in place at the desired length and the just leave it there. If you feel that doesn't work for you and you want the adjustability, take it back and exchange it. Your only other choice in my opinion is get your money back and go to a flooring store that has tools and purchase a higher quality one with adjustments or just get a non adjustable at the length you like. Unless the tool has a positive spring pin/plunger lock, it will act similar to the one you have as its natural for your hands to rotate the upper portion of the handle while scraping, which loosens the locking mechanism. Its not the best designed tool for the job when adjustment constantly required. Good Luck to you.

This blade is perfect for peel and stick tiles. That's what I originally bought it for. I've used it for a bunch of other things since then and have found it to be a very versatile scraper.

This tool and blade are designed to be used on floors only! "CONCRETE FLOORS" Use it on anything else at your own risk. That being said, Yes it would remove the paint, and the window and you would have a real mess.

I used it to scrap up the staples left over after pulling up the rug padding. It really helped pull up many of the staples. Nothing is 100 percent effective but this tool really did it's job and made it easier for me as I only had very few left to manually pull. It saved me back breaking aches and a lot of time.

The tool worked like a charm on the dried glue on the concrete! However, I have to agree with other customers who stated that the handle takes some getting used to. It keeps coming undone during use. Overall I am pleased though.

Problems getting the blade inserted and staying inserted. The whole thing was pretty heavy. I was hoping to avoid bending over (only 5"2") and the handle was still too short. Was scraping paint off a large deck. would have been better with an adjustable handle
