The RESCUE! Disposable Outdoor Fly Trap lures and traps flies to control populations at the source. Just add water - the lure pouch inside dissolves and activates, releasing a scent flies find irresistible. Drawn in through the top cap, flies enter the trap and drown. We recommend hanging the trap at least 20 feet away from entrances, patios, or decks. That's Smarter Pest Control.

No, the Outdoor Fly Trap will not catch mosquitoes.
Thankfully, the attractant inside our traps is non-toxic and made of food or feed-grade ingredients. The contents do have yeast, and ingested, it can cause an upset stomach, vomiting, and possibly diarrhea. If the trap contained flies, they can carry bacteria and may add to the gastrointestinal discomfort. It's a good idea to keep fresh water available for your dog and watch them for worsening symptoms. Ingesting the plastic parts of our traps can cause other issues, depending on your pet, what was consumed, and how much. If your concerns worsens, or your dog is behaving strangely, please contact Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Safety at 1-866-767-5077. This a free hotline for our customers to speak directly with a veterinarian. We also have more information about the pet safety of our products at https://www.rescue.com/petsafety/.
