A surprisingly good tile saw for the price
I have now completed 2 shower remodels with this saw. Both remodels involved large format tiles. Out of the box, the saw required 0 adjustments and performed well. The miter guide and guide bar accessories are a great add and functional. I would have rated this saw a 5 had it not been for the poor quality blade that is included with the saw and side to side movement of the sliding table when the table is extended all the way back to accommodate long tiles. Note, once all 3 sets of wheels on the table are in contact with the guide rails there is no side to side movement.

Industrial strength, quality components, and extra cutting capacity make for a great tile saw. This is SO much better than the “consumer level” tile saw I’ve been struggling with up to now! Everything about it is sturdy, which is critical for straight, consistent cuts. The motor is powerful. The cast aluminum table slides smoothly on the rails. The motor arm moves up and down precisely for plunge cuts. The rip guide and miter guide attach positively to the table to ensure cuts are perfectly straight, or at an exact angle (see pic). And another plus: it includes a pump to circulate water so you don’t need an external water supply. The motor head tilts for bevel cuts. The instructions warn to make bevel cuts ONLY at 22.5 and 45 degrees. These are the only angles where the blade aligns with the slots in the sliding table, but there’s nothing to stop you from setting it in between, so be careful! (see pics) It includes all the tools you need: Arbor wrench and combo hex wrench/Philips screwdriver (see pic). These conveniently snap into the back of the motor arm. Assembly takes about 15 minutes, but is easy. The stand is sturdy and height-adjustable without tools. Notches in the bottom of the tray mate to the top of the stand frame. The tray is not attached to the stand, but its weight keeps it in place. Minor gripes: - Industrial strength comes with weight - about 75 lbs with the stand - The plastic water hose was kinked (see pic). Make sure to straighten it before use. - The blade wrench is skimpy. Use your own 19mm end wrench or socket instead. Recommended. RIDGID 12 Amp Corded 8 in. Tile Saw with Extended Rip Model # R4041S

I am so looking forward to using this tile saw. I have several projects in mind for this and am much happier owning a tile saw rather than renting one. I asked my son to assemble it for me and he felt that some of the instructions were more like guidelines rather than directions, some steps were not ordered correctly, and some explanations were actually not included. He did not need all the tools listed either. I have to decide which project I'm going to start with, but I'm looking forward to many years of projects using this tool. I have a bathroom and kitchen needing tile and might even use ceramic or porcelain tile on the majority of the floors in my house. And, since this will also cut pavers, I just might install a "patio" in my front yard. Can't wait!

This is a nicely designed wet tile/brick saw with a goodly amount of variety. There is a rip fence, and an angle block, and the whole saw tilts for compound angles for those really weird tile/brick areas which make life hard. The 8 inches sized blade is okay, but sometimes if you are doing brick a bit larger would have been nice. The tray for the water recirculation is large and has an extension piece to catch overflow when doing long rips. There is a small recirculatory pump which sits on the top left corner under the actual saw. The saw and the pump both attach to a cord which makes it only one cord to plug into an extension cable if you need one. There is a foam filter system which should keep most of the dust out of the pump while in use. The only thing I would complain about is that fact that there is no case or decent box to store this in, so you have lots of loose parts to put somewhere while not in use. I wish it was designed as a closable storage case so all items could be kept together. Still a nice tile wet saw and I do recommend it.

Overall I like this saw. For the money it has its uses. I cut 24x48 in tile with it that would not work on any of its big brothers. The drop gate feature should be on all saws. It’s not a heaven duty saw that will last a lifetime but for under 600 if I get 10-15 jobs out of it I’ll be happy. I’m only going to use it for large format tile and long rip cuts. I like that it has a fence as well.

Used this saw for 4x4 porcelain and 12x24 ceramic and it worked great. Right out of the box it was square to 1/16" across a 24" rip. For my application I did not bother to adjust this as I only needed one full tile ripped. Not sure about the durability but so far seems sturdy.

              Not great.
I feel like this saw had several flaws. First of all I couldnt cut a 24" tile without an 1/8 or more change from end to end. I tried adjusting tray but it wouldnt help and was difficult to adjust to begin with. The long plank tiles would hit the water management tray in the back. The water was spraying in all the wrong places and not very much of it so fairly weak pump. 45 degree miter cuts were terrible especially with week blade they give you. I have owned the 7" Rigid saw and had no problems. I was excited to upgrade to the 8" but will unfortunately have to pay more for the Dewalt or Delta.
