Q:Under "Product Details" it says: As always, this RIDGID 18V 6-Port Sequential Charger is 100% compatible with all RIDGID 18V batteries. Under Q&A it was asked "Will this also charge my old Ridgid Ni-Cd batteries?" with answer "I'm sorry, no." False info!!

The RIDGID 18V 6-Port Sequential Charger is a MUST HAVE. A total of 6 ports to charge your 18 volt batteries. This unit offers 2x the charging speed. The batteries are charged sequentially, meaning one at a time in a default order. The great thing is this unit allows you to select which battery you want charged first.
Another great feature on this unit is its pass through plug. The charger will NOT take up an outlet spot. You can simply plug another item into it directly at the outlet and you can carry on with the projects you are working on.
The control panel is all LED and easy to operate.
I am so thankful for this charger. It consolidates all charging into one. Heavy duty construction and good solid base for footing, and carry handle. Overall, I am very happy with the unit. I highly recommend it. I rate this 5*s out of 5.

RIDGID 18V 6-Port Sequential Charger
Contrary to some people’s understanding, this charger charges one battery at a time then moves to the next and charges that one and so on; hence the term sequential.
The casual cordless tool owner can get by with the charger included with their rarely used drill, but if you really work with your tools, you need a higher charging rate, multi-port battery charger that charges batteries rapidly. If you own Ridgid 18v cordless tools this is the charger to get. It features LED status indicators, a port selector button to select a particular battery to charge and a carrying handle. There’s also an energy-saver mode that lowers power consumption and maintains battery’s charge until it is needed.
The charger is fast; 4.0 ah batteries can be charged in about an hour and 2.0 ah batteries in half that. It's also good to own several batteries so as you need to replace a depleted battery, there is always a fresh one in the charger. This charger works great, it’s a tool in itself more than just a tool accessory.
As with other Ridgid tools, this charger is eligible for the Ridgid Lifetime Service Agreement.

LOVE this Ridgid Sequential Charger
I received this Ridgid Sequential Charger as part of the Home Depot Seeds Program. I absolutely LOVE it! I just took 6 of my 7 Ridgid batteries of various sizes from their respective tools and connected them to the charger. Plugged it it and presto-bingo, the first battery started charging and the second one went into sequence to be next. I'm assuming that once the 2nd one starts charging, then the 3rd one will sequence and so on until all are charged. While I have 3 other chargers placed around the house, shop, and garage, sometimes it gets a bit frustrating to know which batteries are where. And since I'm all over my house working at times, having all the batteries fully charged in one location makes perfectly good sense. In fact, it spurred me to grab all of my Ridgid tools and put them by the charger instead of 'dropping them off' wherever I last used them. I know, I know...it's a guy thing. Time to get organized...or should I say, more organized. If you have a lot of Ridgid tools and batteries like I do, you can't go wrong with this handy portable charger!

Good charger
I needed a charger like this. I do home remodel so I run different tool platforms depending on the job. I got plenty of RIDGID batteries and it’s definitely to cool to just stick them on the charger and work as they charge when I’m using multiple tools. It’s definitely nice that it has 6 ports to charge but I do wish it was simultaneously charging. At least maybe two at a time would have been nice. It does charge fairly quick. I had a drained 4ah on there and it took about 30 minutes to fully charge. Even though it is sequential charging I do like the feature where I can select which port if I have priority for that type of battery like if it’s bigger AH. It’s definitely made good so no complaints on the toughness of it. It does feel like it will last a long time and the plastic casing is definitely good quality. Another nice feature is I can still use the plug where I plug it into. It’s like a through plug. It has all the similar lights on the handle to let you know if you have a bad battery or something. It’s a good quality charger, but I just wish it charged simultaneously, and if not all then 2 at a time. But it does do the job and if your running several RIDGID tools with the crew then this will help out a lot.

Worry Free Time Saver
Saves time and potentially space while charging anything from one to six batteries sequentially. The ports are numbered so favored batteries can be charged before the rest. Using the port selector enables manual port / charging selection. The indicator lights provide status updates for each battery. The claimed charging times appear to be about right too charging a 2.0 Ah lithium-ion battery in 30 minutes. The handle provides good clearance so it's easy to pick up and carry while wearing gloves. In the shop the charger can be hung on the wall.

solved my problem
I needed this to replace 4 Ridgid R86093 slow chargers and it’s a caddy for 6 batteries. You don’t have to put the battery in any specific slot, it detects which slot you’ve inserted the battery. This is sequential – in a counter clockwise direction. The dimenstions of this charger are 7-3/8” wide, 11-1/8” long and 7-7/8” tall, the cord is 6’-2” long.

Charge 6 Batteries at one time
Where has this been all my life. I work on quite a few jobs that require multiple tools at one time. Many of them need full power, especially the circular saw and hammer drill. Rigid's 6 Port charger is perfect to keep these batteries charged and in action.
I have Rigid's 2ah and 4ah batteries and this charger will have them recharged in 30 minutes. Perfect to charge all your batteries at once while at lunch. Or you can charge them one at a time.
You can even use this as a battery carrier. You can put up to 6 batteries on at one time. There is a handle to carry it. On each battery port there is a light that gives you the status of your battery. It is equipped to only charge the battery when it is cooled down. Just put the battery on, when it cools down, it will start charging.
There is a button on one side that enables you to switch between batteries to check the status of the batteries. Another cool feature is the pass through plug. You can plug another 110v plug into the top of this plug. Perfect for situations where you are short on receptacle space. It also has a feature on the bottom that allows you to hang the battery pack in your shop.
This 6 Port Battery pack has made my charging and work alot easier. Thanks Rigid.
