18V Cordless 5 in. Random Orbit Sander (Tool Only)

Very good tool, works great in my shop. Only problem i have is the dust collection bag, it continues to pop off while working with it. It makes a huge mess, as im sanding for hours, and all of my sawdust spills out.

So every tool, with the exception of the reciprocating saw, works great. The batteries do not fit the saw. I tried both and neither one fit. Found this out just as I needed the saw too. My suggestion is as soon as you get it, open it up in the car/truck and make sure the batteries fit all the tools.

I had four rigid tools, and I only needed one battery. That is great for me since I don’t use them professionally it’s easy enough just to change the battery from one tool to the next, and they’re also once you register them guaranteed for life

This Rigid tool set puts the other sets I have bought over the years to shame. The quality and the feel of these tools is excellent; noticeably better than similar and even more expensive products on the market. The 4Ah and 2Ah batteries are a great idea and the tools feel balanced with both. Love the multi-tool; most sets don’t have this so a good bonus.

This Ridgid cordless tool set is perfect! Having the four tools (Impact Driver, Hammer Drill Multi-Tool and Reciprocating Saw) in one set with interchangeable batteries is the perfect way to go. Hubby says they are "heavy" -- not in the sense of weight, but in that they are beefy and strong, not cheap tools. He's quite happy with the set. Having the lifetime warranty is beyond compare. The set is right now gathered into the carrying bag and in the back of the Escalade. Tomorrow's project list includes working with a neighbor installing a new awning on our camper - a two-man job. Tools are ready for use.

It comes with a reciprocating saw, a multi tool, a 1/4 inch impact gun and a hammer drill. I've had a couple of ridgid drills for over 20 years until they were stolen earlier this year. They were great never had a problem with them. I had to replace the batteries a couple of times over the years. The multi tool is a variable speed but it has a dial to adjust the speed. I prefer the kind that the speed adjusts by just squeezing the trigger,but this works good. The other tools adjust by the trigger. I has two batteries and a charger. The drills have belt clips and bit holders on them. The saw has a rafter hook on it as well. Also comes with a nice big bag too. Very happy with these tools.

The Ridgid 18V brushless 4-tool combo kit is a awesome kit to have in your tool box. The 1/2 inch hammer drill is great. Will go through material in nothing flat. The speed impact drill really drills fast with no hesitation. The reciprocating saw can cut through any type of material and it has an adjustable flange to use the depth that you want. The multi tool is great too. You can put different blades on this tool for the material that you are cutting. The batteries charge quick and easy with no problem at all. I have used the impact driver and it works like a charm. All he tools are a good size and weight as not to cause fatigue when using them. Very durable and easy to use. The power that the batteries have you should have no problem at all, whether drilling, cutting, or what ever project that you may use them for. I like that it comes with a storage bag as you can easily take them from one place to another to work on your project. I would highly recommend these tools to all my family and friends as they are a must in your tool box. These tools should last a very long time. Well built. Thanks

Ridgid 18V Brushless Cordless Combo Kit is a Great Value. I knew the the 4 tool combo set would make hubby happy. This is what he has to say about them. The thing I noticed first when picking up the hammer drill and impact driver was the size. Not real large. Would like to call them “beefy”, but I don’t consider them that heavy. Just very solidly built and powerful, surprisingly powerful. The hammer drill on drill mode drove a 3 ½ screw into a 4 X 4 like you are driving into balsa. The impact drive drove a ½ inch by 5 inch lag into the 4 X 4 with no pilot with ease, while on the number 2 setting. The recip saw made quick work of the 4 X 4. Wish I had the saw when tearing apart my deck a couple years back. The Multi-tool look useful and cut through a dry wall screw with minimum effort on my part. All the test I ran on the tools were with the 2.0 Ah battery. The set comes with both a 2.0 and 4.0 Ah battery. The batteries also come with a power indicator. Just push the button and they indicate the charge level. The grips on all the tools are great. Comfortable and your hands do not slip. You don’t even think about your hands slipping. All the controls are where you would expect and intuitive. All the tools come with and LED light that will easily light thing up enough if a light is needed. The package of accessories was nice to have. Did not attach the belt clips or bit holder, but I could see how others would find them useful. The multi-tool accessories and recip saw blade were excellent and I used to test the tools. The only nock I have is with how loud the tools were. It could be the pitch of the sound is higher than I’m use to from tools. Also, the chuck on the hammer drill, longer bits have an obvious wabble that smooths out at higher speeds. Over all, I am happily impressed with the quality and the power of these tools.

The kit is a great value for the money whether it's for a DIY project or if you are contractor. This kit should cover almost all of your project needs. The first thing I did was break down an old couch with the sawzall and impact driver. It was a pretty old couch, so I couldn't just take it apart like something from Ikea. There were plenty of screws that had to be removed and I had to cut the frame up in all sorts of places. It made quick work of the couch and I got it out in no time. The impact driver is also great if you work on your car. It certainly would have been usefull when I blew a tire after hitting a pothole while traveling out of state. Now it stays in my car with my hydraulic jack and stands.

Impressive set of cordless tools; RIGID has brought it’s A-game with this set. I have been a fan of RIGID corded tools for a while, but what brought me over to this set were four things: the set is all brushless, which maximizes battery life; the cordless oscillating multitool (having a cordless one makes this useful tool even more versatile); the hammer drill, which I needed for some drilling I needed to do in concrete; and the lifetime service agreement. The two batteries and charger included in the set was also appealing and just put this set over the top. The batteries charge fast (about 30 min to go from lowest to fully charged) and they have so far had great run times. The charger is compact and does not take up much room (although the power brick that plugs into the wall is a little big). These tools have great power; my first test with a kit like this is to use the saws, as the drills and impact drivers seem to always behave the same across different brands. As it turns out I had some demo work to do, cutting up old wood pallets and shelving. The reciprocating saw was a bona fide beast! I have used other cordless versions and this is one of the most powerful I have used; not sure whether it is the brushless tool or the battery system but it made short work of the cuts I needed to do. I thought the tool was a little heavy and unbalanced, until I put the battery on, at which time it felt just right (still a little heavy but not unbalanced). The oscillating multi tool was a delight; it is powerful and with the adjustable speeds very versatile; if you have never used one of these I will say this: it is probably one of the most useful and yet most overlooked tools in my collection. I did plunge cuts with it and it performed better than my corded one (different brand). It has a great feel in my hand and blade installation was a snap (one note: it does not accept all blades; you need those with the long rounded rectangular holes to ensure fit. One set I have has small circular holes and they do not work). RIGID also includes both one blade for the recipe saw and a sanding pad and two blades for the multi tool. The drill and impact driver also have a great ergonomic feel and performed well. The only downside I found was that each tool has a slight hesitation when it starts; not enough to be a problem but it caught me by surprise until I got used to it. The toolbag is just that: a bag. I will invest in some type of dividers or small mesh bags to keep things separate. Getting a plastic box for the blades and bits is also a good idea. The bag is big and can hold much more than the four tools this comes with. Overall, I highly recommend this combo kit; you get a lot for your money. The tools are great, powerful, well made, and sturdy. The fact that RIGID backs these tools and batteries for life make this even better.
