Can the trigger lock in place instead of you having to hold it?

I have a problem with the plastic chuck leaking quite frequently when installed. Disappointed with the design, feel like it should be Schrader brass valve like your top model has . Any suggestions please? Prefer not to discard or give away
I also have a problem with the plastic chuck connector (it actually broke), without which the entire unit is useless. Apparently, I failed to "register" the tool within 90 days of purchase (it was a gift) and it's 5-6 years old, so I'm out of luck!
