Questions & Answers

Why would i buy this attachment over buying a separate cordless jig saw (corded or cordless)

The Ridgid corded and cordless jig saws are about $100. The Ryobi Lime Green jig saw is about $60. It just seems like the separate tool would be better than this attachment. I currently own a set of Ridgid products and a job max. I also have lithium drill Ryobi set. So batteries are not the issue. I just want the better product that will give me the best results at a sub $100 price point. I am not a pro.
Asked by: ipWitan
Personally, I own this attachment and prefer it over my other jigsaw because the cutting head is smaller and I think it is easier to maneuver while making a cut.

Does everyone use this w/ the 12-volt of 18-volt body more often? Would the 12-volt body work well enough in terms of power?
Asked by: Keen
I use mine with the 18V body. I think the 12V would work just as well, but I prefer the 18V. I guess it kind of depends on what you are planning do and how often. If planning to use often, I would go with the 18V.

I've been using it to cut planks for floors and to even customize wood works. It works great with the RYOBI multi-tool. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great attachment I love the Ridgid multi tool, the fact that you can have a base with bunch of attachments is absolutely brilliant. I love the jigsaw addition to the tool. I have 2 corded jigsaws that I have used for years and when I saw this attachment I got really excited. If you are use to the traditional jigsaw you might need a bit of time to adjust, once you do I guarantee you will be reaching for it more then the traditional one. I use 18v body and it has plenty of power, I haven’t been disappointed yet, it’s easy to use, and the blade is really easy to swap. I highly recommend this attachment

Only issue was the lifetime service agreement, this was purchased with the power head, on the same receipt... ridgid for some reason asked me to mail a copy of the receipt to them for verification.. the powerhead was warranted with no issues... why wasn’t the jigsaw head warranted since it was ON THE SAME RECEIPT??? Way to complicate simplicity guys, thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jumping Jig-saw This tool is by far is one of the handiest cutting tools I own. One, there is no cord so no issue with a cord potentially getting cut when your cutting larger surface style material. Two, plenty of power with the 18volt platform. Very good tool to add to your tool box

Excellent product but Rigid products does not sell a bag that you can put all the heads and the tool in and secure them down. This is the only drawback that I can find with Rigid tools. If there is a bag out there I would be very happy if someone contacts me.
