To my knowledge, this is a piece unit. The camera neck does not detach.
Not on this model, the cable is permanently mounted. On models CA150 and CA350 you can put on different cable extensions.
It worked fine. But no longer have one, why, did not need it anymore, finished with project.
And yes there is a battery holder that holds four AA batteries insert the batteries then slide the holder in to the bottom of the camera and latch
I don’t think it will fit in a 1/2 in. pipe. The thread size of an LS 5.3L GM cylinder head is 14mm and it wouldn’t fit through.
I'm not aware of an extension that is sold by Home Depot but good question. You may want to contact the manufacture directly and see if an extension is made or if they see tool with a longer probe.

In my opinion I would not use this Ridgid inspection tool in a high voltage type of situation. High voltage is dangerous, I would notify Ridgid as to directions of your intentions before proceeding.
Cutting a hole slightly bigger than the camera tip would be fine. If there is insulation in the wall it will obstruct your view.
