Q:What saw blade is comparable with the riving knife on this saw? The riving knife indicates to use a blade with a kerf greater than 2.5 mm (.098?). The only blades I can find have a kerf .095-.098?. The original blade kerf is .102?

    Bad Fence
Instead of having both sides of the fence pinch in on the top, this saw has 2 metal rods that press against aluminum rails to keep the fence in place. After several months of light use, the fence could not be tightened due to these cheap aluminum rails denting.

      Awesome power
I've been wanting one of these forever. My power hand tools just don't cut deep enough, I'm tired of having to flip and make two cuts. Having a bench is a must for deep square cuts. So glad I picked the Ridgid table saw. It came in a few more pieces than I expected, and putting two washers in between a tight space was the worst part of building the stand (see picture). However the rest of it was easy to follow instructions and put it together. It's a great addition to the DIY tools workshop. A sliding table top and accessory storage on the sides makes it easy to keep all the parts together no matter what size of piece you're working with. Looking forward to using this for years to come.

      Well built and great features.
The RIDGID table saw with scissor stand is a well built table saw with great features. I set up the saw and checked the alignment and squareness as per the instructions and everything was right on. This saw has an encloser around the saw blade with a place to connect your shop vacuum or dust collection system to. There is very little dust that escapes. I also like the way the rip fence works. The fence can be placed either left or right of the saw blade and is adjusted by sliding the extension on the right side of the table and locks in place with the push of a lever under the right side of the table. For smaller width cuts you use the left side and for wider cuts, up to 25 inches with the fence on the right side. The saw is smooth running with almost no vibration. The cross cut guide is cast aluminum and quite accurate but does not have any stops for any of the angles. I always use an angle finder to set the degrees any way. The height adjustment is gear driven and works very easy and smooth. The saw has a place to store everything when they are not in use so you won't have to hunt when you need something. The rip fence snaps in a cradle on the left side and the Allen/Phillips screw driver tool used to remove the bolts that hold the scissor stand on has a home there as well. The stand does not fold when attached to the saw. The push stick tool, that comes with the saw, snaps onto 2 pins on the left side of the saw. The blade wrenches are stored on the right inside edge of the saw frame and the blade guard and anti-kickback dogs are stored in a bracket on the out side when not in use. I did discover that the anti-kickback dogs will catch on the table if you try to lower the blade when they are in use. I would suggest that you make the blade height adjustment first and then attach the dogs and blade guard. The saw blade angle adjustment is manual. You loosen the angle clamp and slide to the desired angle then re tighten the clamp. The table has a nice finish on it so the wood slides easily with out marking. The blade that came with the saw makes very smooth cuts. The power safety switch can be easily be turned off with the touch of your knee so your hands are free to hold the piece being sawed. I like the saw very much and do recommend it highly. The manufacturer does not recommend the use of a dado blade on this saw. It states in the owners manual to use 10" saw blades only.

I returned this saw. The fence was very loose and easy to move even when locked. Also did not have the rack and pinion adjustment which I thought it did.

works well, but too heavy to move around by one person once assembled. I put wheels on two of the legs that don’t quite touch the floor. I can now just tilt it on one side, the wheels touch, and I can easily move it.

Met my expectations for a budget saw. Saw was very square out of the box. Rip fence has a small amount of play, but usability is not effected. Construction is sturdy including scissor stand. Good value. Portability would be better with a pop up wheel stand.

      Great saw, poor miter gauge
This is my first table saw, and I did quite a bit of research on a quality saw to get started with woodworking. I’m a little bummed this does not accept a dado stack, but otherwise it had all the features, power, etc that I was I was looking for, all at a very reasonable price (it’s currently listed at $379 in my area but I got it on sale for $299). My one issue is the cheap miter gauge. I didn’t expect much, but even with low expectations, I’m looking forward to replacing it with a sled soon.

The bar has to be tightened down every time you use it. Not great when you have a lot of different sizes to cut
