Is one bottle ok for about 50-60 ft of line?

Asked by SJ January 10, 2021

Depends on how far in the root ball is and how big it is. One may be enough, but you might need two.

Can this be used on a pipe that drains into the yard?

Asked by PJ December 10, 2020

Answer

No Root Killers cannot be applied in this manner. They have to be applied directly leading into a septic system or city sewer line. They are registered pesticides that are set in guidance with the EPA.

Can this be used in a sub pump drain

Answer

The product would have to be applied into a clean out pipe not directly through a sub pump.

I have an outdoor cleanout between the house and the street, since that's closer to the roots should deploy product there?

Answer

Good Morning; You can pour the entire contents of the Foaming Root Killer into the clean out pipe then pour 3 gallons of water right behind it to mix the two ingredients together inside the pipe line. Once the product and the water have been applied do not use any more water for 6 hours. Once the 6 hours have passed you can return back to normal water usage.

Can this product be used in outdoor drains? gutter or French drains?

Can be used on any drain. Just make sure you put in enough water to 'push' it to wherever you need.

I did not flush right away and some of the foam spilled onto the floor. How do you clean up product

Asked by will November 4, 2020

Answer

I imagine you could use a mop and bucket. That is the one thing that the instructions point out you have to flush right away. Is this foam caustic, I would not try to pick it up by hand. When you start to clean it up, throw it back into the toilet and flush right away, keep doing this until you have it all cleaned up.

Is this OK to use for outdoor yard drains? One of my drains outlets to the street. Is that OK?

Asked by CDR November 2, 2020

Answer

This product can only be applied into a toilet or cleanout pipe that directly leads into a city sewer line or a septic system. All root killers are registered pesticides with the EPA and cannot be applied in a manner where it will be released into the outdoor environment.

I did not use this product on the advice of my plumber. He stated that the foam could get matted into the roots and clof tne line. I had him rod out the line and followed witha power jet flushing.

My husband flushed the toilet before the entire bottle was empty. Will this still work or should I do it again?

The information that was stated by the community answer is incorrect. The entire bottle of product has to be applied at once. There are two separate ingredients in the bottle which both need to be applied and mix together in the pipe line for full results. If you could please call me at 203-795-1283 Ext 3 so I can help you resolve this.

I have a four foot section of drain that will grow pin roots from my tree in the front yard. My plumber is $75.00 to clean to the street. I have been using this product every 8 months for the last 10 years. Saves me from calling the plumber. Roebic does the job. I put the label on the inside off my medicine chest & date it.

Formula has changed?
As I see others complain about how it was hard, clumpy and didn't foam, I also experienced the exact same thing. I have been using this for years with no problems. I called Roebic and after hitting 0 I got a woman who claimed the black label is a new formula that doesn't foam until it's in the pipes. When I mentioned a couple of times how hard it was she finally said "some moisture must have gotten in there". My response was of course "how would that happen?". She said the Green & White label still works like the old formula that foams. I don't see where the Green & White label is sold. I mentioned how concerned I was that this formula didn't actually do it's job and she finally said she'll send me a new one and claimed it was safe for me to do it again. We'll see!
