What is a "rolling stand"? Looking at the photo, it doesn't look like it rolls. Also, if it does roll, how does it lock so it can't roll. Thank you
Asked by: Hank
Hi Hank. When the stand is lowered then you can move the saw on the 2 wheels mounted on the stand. Thanks for your interest. Greg

Is there a difference between this and the RTS11 besides the stand they come with?

Asked by: Justin
The difference is the wheels, the adjustable table leg, and upgraded top with extendable supports for larger material.

I purchased the RTS22 because I was not able to pay what it cost to have one custom built, so I built one myself and came out money ahead. The Ryobi table saw was one of many tools that was used to build this door. I like the out feed table, it helps give more support when cutting longer boards. Also, the extension on the side allows you to rip 4 foot plywood it half with no problem. Not all table saws have that feature. This model comes with wheels but is also light enough to carry if necessary. Overall this is a good saw. It comes with a dust port which the previous model did not have. There are many features it does have that helps it compete with the higher priced saws, to many to mention here. The 45 and 90 degree had to be adjusted even though the manual said it was set at the factory. Not a big deal, easy to do. The rip fence is adjustable but did not have to be, as it was spot on. Ryobi always seems to have the best price when it comes to power tools. Bottom line, yes, i would recommend this to a friend.

I should have done more research or gotten some time hands on before I purchased. I was looking to get into woodworking as a hobby and to build some furniture cabinets in our new home. I made this purchase as it was affordable, portable, had a large rip capacity and other nice features like a dust collection chute, and outfeed support. Unfortunately the table top is hardly flat and depending on what width board I'm ripping end off with an off square edge. The miter gauge also has an amount of slop to it that I found troublesome. This is an excellent portable saw packed with useful features and may be good for ripping ply, and non precision work by the occasional DIYer, but anyone who wants any bit of precision, look for something with a solid table, not a less than flat stamped steel.

Lots of research and talking to 2 contractors (who goes through table saws like I go through toilet paper) and decided on this one. I compared it to Rigid via website and physically in the store and they are very similar minus the warranty (Rigid wins) and price tag (Ryobi wins). Bought on 12/28/18, I've used it for two days ripping wet pressure treated 4x8 panels and wet pressure treated 2x6x10's (1/2 strips) and it never missed a lick. Here's what I like: -Plenty of power -Rolling stand is a huge benefit for setting up anywhere and it folds up compact -Under table storage for wrenches -Did not have to adjust anything to get started -Price Wish list: -Brake to stop the motor faster -Better photos in assembly instructions (read the wording and you'll figure it out) *******Please read below if you purchase this saw and use it on wet lumber****** The dust shoot will clog up quickly and blow it back in your face but there's an easy fix. Look under saw and remove the one screw and plate under the blade housing. It will discharge straight out the bottom and problem solved. It makes a nice pile too for easy clean up with a shovel.

All parts and hardware were there and nothing was damaged. It went together perfectly with only a couple of tweaks to square up and zero out the settings. I use my garage as a workplace, so being able to fold down and wheel away the saw made good sense. Compared to others in this category the Ryobi is well suited for the D-I-Y homeowner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Value This saw is essentually an RTS21 with an improved stand and expanded rip capacity. Throw in a couple cosmetic updates. The fence is actually decent. Don’t believe the pundits, the stand is more sturdy than it looks, resisting racking forces better than most. It is not any more “tippy” than others, but this is a portable, so caution always needed. Miter gauge worked fine. Motor is actually pro grade, way stronger than you’d expecf. The expanding front and side wings work great. I added a 40 tooth Freud Diablo blade and it makes a good saw great. Get yourself a good push block, a featherboard, a 1/2” dado stack and a factory Dado throat plate and this saw will match the quality of any portable saw available, if you put in the time to tweak it. You just need more patience. Better to buy this, save $$$, and buy a cabinet or hybrid table saw when you want to move up. If you know how to massage it, this saw will do anything that any other portable or contractor grade saw will do, but might require a bit more setup than some. Just have your level, combination and speed square handy. A fantastic value!

The saw is very easy to operate and handles a large variety of cuts well e.g. crosscut, rip, bevels, mitre, compound mitres etc. it’s collapsible for easy storage and has a set of cheap plastic wheels which should work well for residential and home use.

Easily worth the price, plenty of power, rip guide is simple but squares up every time without hassle. Light weight and easy to set up and take down, as a portable saw should be. Crosscut / miter guide is iffy but usable. I use my miter saw for that anyway. Really handy compared to using a trailer to move my cast iron saw from the shop.

The cuts are nice and smooth.  It seems to have plenty of power.  Very accurate.  The stand folds nicely and the saw is very compact for easy storage when storage space is limited.  The only drawback is that the stand construction seems a bit thin and less substantial than it should be.  Good value.
