Yes but not for long. The bits are too small to use in an impact driver. Additionally the first time they get stuck they come apart. The bits just strip out of the pot metal shanks. Look at attached picture.

Ev, you do not want a pilot hole to go through your work from top to bottom. The purpose of the pilot hole is to allow the screw to seat itself. I generally drill about 3/4 of the depth I need. I just made some target stands and I only drilled 1/2 through my material. I used wood glue to lubricate the screw as it seated. That is the way I do it.
