CAN THIS BE USED TO DISASSEMBLE RADIATORS

If the internal threaded collars that connect the columns are the correct diameter for this wrench, and you can put enough torque on it, then it should be able to remove them.

How do you use it

Insert it into the radiator nipple until it reaches the matching size, then turn it with a conventional pipe wrench. The end of this video shows it nicely: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mS6kTtUvGH8

Eh..
As others have said, the tool is made of cast and breaks very easily. I managed to get through 2 of my 4 radiators before it broke on the 3rd one. Gets it done, just be careful and maybe buy 2 just in case.

It's Cast so it May Shatter
It really should be made of malleable Iron NOT Cast. A Cast tool will shatter/break with enough force as others have had happen to them. It will work if you heat the radiator first then try to pull out the spud. Don't heat the spud though just the reducing union or the radiator if no union..

By the 3rd radiator, it snapped. No idea how I'm getting the piece out of the radiator.

I went through 2 of these and stopped using them while replacing them. On both occasions, the tool shattered with bits of it still in the radiator leaving me cursing over this. I wouldn't recommend this tool at all.

It's a bit rough finished, but worked well. I put it in a poly bag when tightening the new spud into the radiator so I wouldn't mar the finish where the spud mates to the valve stem. Does what I needed it to do.
