If the internal threaded collars that connect the columns are the correct diameter for this wrench, and you can put enough torque on it, then it should be able to remove them.
Insert it into the radiator nipple until it reaches the matching size, then turn it with a conventional pipe wrench. The end of this video shows it nicely: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mS6kTtUvGH8
