Q:Can I attach these to window screens or screen doors?

Answer This Question
A:Â Probably. There is a thin strip of glue on one side. You stick that to the window (or screen), then you peel the front paper off and the entire front side (about 10" wide and 3" high) is sticky. The part you stick to the window is about 1/4" high and 10" long so it should stick to a clean screen.

A:Â The adhesive on the side that attaches to the window is pretty week, so I would say no.

A:Â Yes fruit flies will stick...even your cat would stick its sticky!
by|Aug 6, 2019
A:Â Yes. These strips are almost invisible and catch those little black no-see-ums that can fit right through your screen. You can hardly notice them on a window and each one will keep catching them for a couple of months. About 100 fruit flies can stick to each one. 1000 time better than flypaper.

A:Â Fruit flies will land on the traps and be caught there, and eventually die, but fruit flies don't always congregate in the corners of windows where these traps are the most effective. A much better solution is finding a small vase-shaped glass (Tip -- a dish or bowl-shaped container does NOT work well) that holds an ounce or two and filling it half-full of apple cider vinegar. Then add a couple drops of liquid dish washing soap (like Dawn), and then fill it up to about 1/4 of an inch from the top with water. Use a straw or small spoon to stir the mixture, and place it near the fruit or flowers that seem to be attracting the fruit flies. If you have fruit flies seemingly all over the place, setting out three or four of these in various locations is very effective. To see how many fruit flies you've caught, give the solution a stir (which also releases the scent and attracts more fruit flies) and look at all the deceased fruit flies.

Does not work for flies
I have tons of flies in my small backyard. I bought these hoping they would work. Unfortunately, they have only worked for bees which I hardly ever see.

Deer flies
I didn’t really use them as described on the box. I duct taped it to the back of my hat while running to avoid being attacked by deer flies. After a 4 mile run in July, I had 32 flies stuck to it. They work like a champ.

DO NOT PURCHASE!
I picked these up today because flies have been extremely attracted to our new patio door. I stuck all four to the doors and the flies DO NOT stick. They’re simply flying away. I’ve seen as many as six flies fly off of them in the past five minutes.

We are three broke college girls looking for a good time, and let me tell you, our house fly infestation was not giving us a good time. At first it was fine. It started with one fly who we cleverly named Peter Flygeter and joked that maybe he was just here training for the Great Fly Race. But then overnight, FOURTEEN of his fly friends showed up in our house and tensions got HIGH. Like we were all snapping at each other and felt so uneasy and obsessively deep cleaned our entire home. Then we went to our local Home Depot and found our saving grace, Anthony. He directed us promptly to Aisle 3 where we bought two packs of these and rushed home to put them to use. After two hours, NINE of the 14 flies were trapped. We could not be more impressed with the results so far. We are finally all at ease. We are ready to have a good time.
