Product Overview

The Rat Zapper Ultra Rodent Trap offers you more kills and longer stand by times. This trap is perfect for larger rats (and mice too), ongoing rodent infestations and commercial applications. The kill chamber is larger than the Rat Zapper Classic. Bait with ordinary pet food or another high-protein bait (peanut butter, etc. ). Mice and rats enter the chamber and are dispatched with a powerful jolt of electricity. If they'll fit in the chamber, the Rat Zapper will dispatch them. No blood, no gore, no mess and no poisons to endanger your pets or the environment. Flashing kill light tells you when you have a catch; simply tip the Rat Zapper and let the dead rodent slide out. Dimensions: Approximately 4 in. x 4.75 in. x 11.5 in. Approximately 60 kills with 1 set of 4 alkaline "D" cell batteries (not included). Easy to use and reusable.

Own 5 Rat Zappers have killed many rats.Something is now getting into Zapper eating the bait & leaving setting off lite

I own several as well and have experienced the same thing. Most likely a mouse or other very small animal made it in and did not complete the circuit. The result is a free meal. I can say for a fact mice can get in and out without being harmed. They do make a mouse zapper and is basically a scaled down Ratzapper.

Will this work outdoors

I am using it outside when it is not raining to kill squirrels. I have had it less than a week and already caught one!

Can this be used outdoors? Under vehicles?

Only if you can insure it will not be exposed to moisture. It must be kept dry. It does not like water. Under a car might be fine as long as it is kept dry. Fog could be a problem as none of the electronics and switches are sealed.

Do not put bait near the front. Also mice can get in and out without being shocked. Some dont make it but most mice get out.

We have had these units for a few years and they work great. We have a lot of mice starting with cooler weather and these things get them. I bought professional food bait from an exterminator supply and put a tiny dab on a piece of dry dog food. The mice line up for it and I sometimes get 2 or 3 a day until the mice thin out. I have had multiple kills without replacing the bait because they never get to take a bite. I don't think it gets a full 60 kills per set of batteries and I think it's because there must be a small drain during the standby time but it does get a pile. This is the only clean and safe method we have that really works. We have 3 small dogs and don't want to use any kind of poison. Besides who wants mice rotting in the walls.

Works really well! We live near hills and have caught 7 rats in 2 months using bird seed as bait. I just put a small amount of seed near the entrance and more at the back of the Rat Zapper. I placed it along a wall. Extremely easy to use.

We're sorry to hear about this, please contact us directly at 855-584-2867 for assistance with our 1-year replacement policy.
This trap is worse than useless: Rat tripped the trap and got away; now avoids the area.
The first day I baited the trap with a single peanut placed at the extreme end of the trap. The following day the trap was tripped, the peanut gone, along with the rat. Before this my trail cam showed that the rat was visiting this area multiple times each night. Since, and for three consecutive nights it has not shown up even once in the area covered by the camera, though it has visited other spring-type snap traps outside the camera's range, as evidenced by missing peanut butter on the traps.

Thank you for contacting us. we're sorry to hear that this has occurred with your trap. If given the opportunity, a rat will go for the bait that is easier to access, as is often found on snap traps. We recommend removing the snap traps from the area to see more success with the electronic trap. Reach out to us at 1-855-584-2867 for assistance.
