Thank you for your inquiry. The 800-Watt 12V Off-Grid Solar Kit is not designed for direct EV charging. EVs require a dedicated charging system that operates at significantly higher voltage and power levels than a 12V solar setup can provide. While the kit can contribute to charging a battery storage system that may indirectly support EV charging, it would require additional components such as a large battery bank, an inverter, and compatible EV charging equipment. At this time, Renogy’s 12V off-grid kits are not sufficient to fully support direct EV charging applications.
Hi, thank you for reaching to Renogy! Unfortunately, we don't have the exact weight of the accessories. However, the Rover 60 is 7.9 lbs, and the four 200W items weigh a total of 93.6 lbs. Therefore, the total weight, including accessories, is approximately 110 to 115 lbs. Have a great day!
Hello Rodarte. Thank you for your inquiry. The Renogy 800W 12V General Off-Grid Solar Panel Kit can provide approximately 3.5–4 kWh of power per day under optimal sunlight conditions. While this may cover basic needs such as lighting, a refrigerator, and a television, it may not be sufficient for consistently powering higher-demand appliances like a window A/C unit and microwave, especially if they are used frequently. We’d be happy to help you properly size a system tailored to your specific usage and energy needs for your studio. Please feel free to reach out to our support team at 909-287-7111 or submit a case through our contact page here: https://www.renogy.com/contact-us. We look forward to assisting you!
Hello PowerConnex. Thank you for your inquiry. The 800-watt 12V off-grid solar kit includes all the essential components needed to power general appliances. However, for an 18,000 BTU split-type air conditioner specifically, this setup may not be sufficient. These units typically require around 1,500 to 2,000 watts to run, with higher power needed during startup. To ensure reliable performance, we recommend considering a larger battery bank and inverter, along with additional solar panels to meet the air conditioner's daily energy demands. Please also note that if you decide to upgrade your battery bank or add more panels, you may need to upgrade your charge controller to support the increased capacity. We hope this information is helpful!
