I have a GE water heater. That was manufactured in 10/2011. The issue was the pilot light flame had went out. At first was able to get it to start and run almost 2 days, then it went out again. I could get the pilot light to light but as soon as the main burner came on, it blew out the pilot light then the main burner. (all about the same time) I called Rheem to get the right part number and ordered from Home Depot as they had the best price. Shipping seemed to be the same from all vendors. The removal of the old parts and install of new went very easy. Taking time to clean and inspect the burner section. The pilot light and assembly works like new again.
Don’t forget to use soapy water to check your gas line connections.

Perfect Fit
Worked perfectly for my old GE water heater. It's a GE water heater, but I'm pretty sure it's actually was made by Rheem. I did try some Chinese off brand substitute first, but it was a waste of time. OEM is always better.
