Disappointed
Ring Job Site Security Camera
I currently have a Ring Pro Doorbell with a yearly subscription for data storage and I was under the impression that I could install this Ring Job Site Security camera in my garage and have it link to my Ring Pro doorbell. Wrong. In order to use this camera you must have a Ring Base station which is an additional expense of $50-90 depending on which model you order. Additionally, the camera itself made of a cheap plastic, it is not very sturdy and can easily crack if mishandled or if it would drop on a hard surface, definitely not on par with other brand name security cameras. To install you must remove the base plate from the back of the camera with a small Phillips screwdriver which is not included. You must then force the post out of the backplate in order to access the holes where the screws go into the wall. I created a template as noted in the photos of the back of the camera to mark my screw holes. The camera operates with 3 triple A batteries and as I mentioned above, the camera must be linked to a base station and the Ring App; as a result I probably won’t use it.
Overall I am disappointed in this Ring product, it is poor quality and requires an additional base station. I have other mini security cameras that require no base station and can be viewed on the manufacturer app so I will probably buy an additional one for my garage.

Amazing
This is a great addition to the Ring family. I have Ring ecosystem at home and so far, it has been awesome. The amazing thing about Ring is the fact that it is very affordable and their products are top quality. I did struggle a little to set it up as I didn’t have the smart lighting bridge. Once the bridge was installed, setting up the motion sensor was easy. Now with this sensor at my driveway, I am able to link my ring ecosystem to my smart security light and that has changed everything. It is amazing and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Ring jobsite motion sensor
The battery powered motion sensor extends the range of the Ring security on your job site. It connects to your Ring lights and cameras to activate connected devices when motion is detected. Okay job site security motion sensor
I have the ring home secure system at home so I was a little biased and decided to give this job site motion sensory try. Overall the product quality meaning the plastic seems to be okay. It does require a little bit of pressure to take off the spotlight from the battery compartment. I can see how overtime just gonna wear out there for making this motion sensor absolutely. The device requires four AA batteries so just FYI.

Excellent add on
This is a new product from Ring. It's part of their Jobsite security line. As we all know, construction materials and tools are super expensive now. Securing your valuable tools and the supplies that you need to do your job can be challenging on a site that doesn't even have walls yet. The new Ring line provides trade friendly electronic security. This is a motion sensor. You're going to need a Ring Alarm Pro to connect this. You can use it to alert you or set off the alarms. Highly recommended.

USEFUL AND LIGHTWEIGHT
This Ring Jobsite Security Motion Sensor is a useful accessory for any project or jobsite. It comes from the Ring family of products and I value the many ring camera's I have and use daily. This motion sensor is battery powered using 3 AAA batteries. I would have preferred that this product used a regular ring battery and solar charging or hard wired for the long haul. The quality is average and works well.

Best add on to your RING unit
Ring is a name you can trust.
This security Motion Sensor is battery powered.
Set it up anywhere it can reach the RING WiFi unit. The WiFi will be connected to the Internet.
You can configure to sound an alarm or Email you or even TEXT you when triggered.
Also great for around the house for whatever reason. In your back yard or garage.
Working with all the other RING units, your job site will be covered.

Batteries Not Included
Batteries Not Included ... This is an odd little piece of equipment. With no batteries or instructions, it is assumed that you will know what this is and how to use it. It does not fit in the case and it may not work all that well in steel framed buildings. It is a neat idea that this little tool will let you know if something is happening at your work site. That said, you will be pleased that the cost is so reasonable because you may very well need a few of these to make it all work.

Thieves! Try to avoid being spotted by the orange Motion Sensor.
I don't know, but I try to hide my security systems so they are not avoided or vandalized. A bright orange makes these a target. Easy to pull off the wall, or just take out the batteries. I suggest rechargeable if you don't like landfill waste. You must use with a WiFi hotspot that is compatible, but Ring's website is unclear if any other vendor's product works, and you must use their app and monthly service to get any notification or trigger any cameras or lights at the location. I like the idea, but Ring's online support is poor and they don't write the App that controls these devices. If you have the Ring Doorbell and are happy, then this may be for you. But on the jobsite, you need the WiFi infrastructure to tie this to. Best purchased as part of the starter kit that includes the router and camera. And when changing batteries, it is almost impossible to squeeze together quickly. Took five minutes every time I tried.
