This puck light does provide decent, warm lighting for under a 9-12" cabinet, which is much better than most puck lights. My issue is how this light actually functions. The on/off switch failed to work week. This light is activated by a sensor which detects the "presence of ambient light". So, if I opened the refrigerator, the refrigerator light provide the ambient lighting that caused the puck light to turn on and then turn off once the refrigerator door is closed. The light would also turn on sporadically by itself ((I guessed it sensed ambient light) and then turn off 1 minute later. I had no control over when the light turned on or off. Why would a puck light be activated by the presence of ambient light?
