It does not specify what is the maximum thickness it can cut of a tile, for example, will it cut a marble backsplash which is 1? thick? Thank you

Will this work on porcellin tiles?
Dear customer. Please note that Practic tile cutter is recommended for intensive cut of ceramic tiles up to 3/8" thick with the occasional cut of porcelain tiles. It should be able to cut porcelain tiles but it will depend on the hardness and thickness of the tile. Keep in mind that 3/8" is the limit of this machine and porcelain is the hardest material out there. Also note, that this machine comes with a 6mm scoring wheel but 8mm is recommended for porcelain tiles. For cutting porcelain tiles regularly, I would suggest you Speed-N Rubi tile cutter. Will this cut rubber tiles?
It should, however this is a very basic tile cutter. Recommend to upgrade for better quality cuts.

Not sure, I doubt it as it is designed to score the surface of the tile and snap the tile at the score line.
How is it for cutting Vinyl floor or backsplash tiles?
I did not like this machine. Not the best one by far. I advise you to invest.more in a better tool to simplify the job.
I used mine to cut backsplash tiles and it done great. I didn't cut any vinyl with it.
how do I replace the diamond cutter?

To replace the scoring wheel, simply rotate the handle CCW about a half turn, remove scoring wheel with shaft, slide-in new scoring wheel with shaft and adjust to desired height, then rotate handle CW to secure scoring wheel. It us very unlikely to have the need to replace the diamond cutter. Maybe for another size. Instructions come in the box and it's basically like a screw. Turn ir to tighten it, opposite to loosen it.

Rubi is a Spanish company and we sell all over the globe. Since the Practic cutters are international cutters, the icons on the carton are how we relay to customers on how to use the product. However, you can view the Speed 28 manual which a step up product, but assembles and operates very similar to the Practic cutters. As with any tool, there is a learning curve for those who have not used a manual cutter. Hopefully a few tips will help you with your cutter and of course feel free to contact our customer service department with any questions regarding your cutter or other Rubi products.
Rubi manual cutters work on a score and snap principle and it is important to get a consistent score across the entire cut path. Please note that it is possible to press too hard when making the score, so you want to apply even pressure throughout the entire score. Too hard pressure will result in a rough cut with larger chipping and jagged edges. We recommend that you make a few practice cuts on scrap tile with varying pressures in order to get the feel for the right pressure to make clean cuts. Always keep in mind that a consistent score is needed and not a deep score to cut tile with manual cutters.
Once the score is complete, make sure to use the breaker at the end of the tile near the fence. This is the best place to start the controlled break and ensure a clean cut. Never try to push the breaker down in the middle of the tile, this will result in erratic and inconsistent breaks in the tile.
The scoring wheel that comes with the product is ideal for smooth surface tile, but we would recommend using a larger Rubi scoring wheel for textured and harder porcelain products. If you have textured or hard to cut tile, we recommend the 3/8 scoring wheel (10mm). Larger scoring wheels not only help work through highly textured tile, but have a different edge profile which are also ideal for harder porcelains.
