Painted a metal stand. The end result was very nice but this spray can was a little hard to spray evenly and the spray tip clogged frequently. Has a nice textured finish and color was even. Would recommend.

I painted a backyard glass table and it came out beautiful, the top feels like sand. The paint dried very fast and the color is the same as picture. You can clean the table and the paint stays the same.

This is, quite honestly, the WORST SPRAY PAINT I'VE EVER USED! I bought 2 cans to cover a 2 drawer file cabinet. On the first can, it stopped spraying or clogged after a very short time - probably about 3/4 of the can was left. I then had to turn the spray nozzle, shake, or otherwise try all sorts of positions to get it down to about 1/4 can left, and by that time I had so many starts and stops, blotches, and other imperfections, the file cabinet looked terrible. I gave up on this can and started my second can (even though there was still product shaking around in the first can). The second can was worse - I only got it down to about half of the product left. But now that I started, I couldn't stop - so had to run to Home Depot (Returned the 2 cans as defective), and got two more. Both of these cans had similar issue - but I was out of options, so just kept shaking, turning the nozzle, trying new angles, and getting very tired of pressing the nozzle down to find nothing happening. In the end, I got both of these cans to near zero product left, but it took a LOT of starts and stops, and because of that, was blotchy. I have never had new cans of paint perform this poorly. On top of that, coverage was terrible - after 2 full cans and 2 partial cans, it's splotchy, and while you can't see the original (gray) file cabinet color, there are a lot of spots that are a grayish tint and really ought to get more paint - but I'm DONE with this paint, and it's going to do as-is. This paint is terrible - the nozzle is just not designed correctly to let this paint (which includes sand or some similar grit) flow through the nozzle. The photos don't show the blotchiness as well as it looks in real life - I've spray painted plenty of things over the years, and never had a spay paint job take this much work or come out this way. In the end, the file cabinet does not look terrible - but if I was starting over, I would absolutely NOT paint with this product again... Oh, and to be complete, I'll add that I followed the directions completely - the can was always sprayed from an upright position, at the recommended distance from the work. I shook the can for about 2 minutes before starting the job, and frequently during the job. In the end, I've probably got 5 coats on this - but it's hard to be exact, since there was so much stopping and starting and overlapping is difficult when you are constantly looking at the can and not the work. This is clearly a poor nozzle design...

Oh no, we understand your frustration, Steve! Rust-Oleum Stops Rust MultiColor Texture Spray will not cover quite as well as solid colors, due to the texture of the finish and the flecked color appearance. To assist with the coverage of the product, you can apply a solid base coat of paint or primer that is close to the color of the Multicolored paint. Try spraying the can upside down for a few seconds. If that doesn't work, wiping the nozzle with mineral spirits should clear it out. It is also very important to vigorously shake the can for 1 minute beforehand as well as during application to ensure any settled pigment is dispersed. - Rust-Oleum Product Support 5 Rustoleum

This paint was terrible! Planned to use it to spray an outdoor gas pipe that was beginning to show rust spots. The paint was gelatinous and did not adhere to the pipe (not even the top of the pipe). It ran off in a goopy mess. Had to buy a different product. This was a waste of money

Does not cover as a paint should. No where near the coverage of their other spray paints. Wish I’d never tried it.

We appreciate your feedback! For the best coverage with Rust-Oleum Stops Rust MultiColor Textured Spray, we do recommend applying over a similar color base coat. Several light coats a few minutes apart will also provide better coverage, verses trying to achieve full coverage in one coat.

            Terrible coverage
12 cans so far and still don't have complete coverage on 2 patio chairs. This paint is the worst I have used.

Oh no, not something we like to hear. Rust-Oleum Stops Rust MultiColor Textured Spray Paint is a heavily pigmented coating that products a unique textured finish. Because of the textured finish, coverage is a bit less that standard spray paint, it is 4-8 square feet per can. Give us a call at 800-481-4785 so we can hear more about your application and try to make things right.
