I used double strength for armadillos! Seems to be working! Suppose to work for 90 days! I expect it will. So happy. They’ve torn up my flower beds and yard for 5 yrs. decided to try this after many other suggestions that didn’t work! So far sooooo good! I’m excited! In for good if this holds up!!

Will this work to keep critters out from under my car or in the engine?

I'm sure you would have to repeat sprayings under the hood but this is just a pepper spray that should work anywhere. Warning! The solution clogs easily. Be sure to shake vigorously before each use. That is the biggest trouble with this product.

It didn't do much for me, so, I doubt it.

Will this work on cushions of backyard furniture?

Asked by Sal June 21, 2020

Answer

This hasn't been tested on fabric, so we recommend trying a small area first to make sure there is no staining. You could spray the furniture itself and it will still keep animals away from that area.

I would say yes. I had a hard time as they delivered it and we got snow on and off for the following two weeks. I applied it only to have it snow the very next day, so I reapplied it to be safe.

Is this safe to use around pets?

No, this is not safe to use around pets.

What happens if dog ingest this?

They probably won't get near it, but if they do, it is supposed to taste awful and they will leave it alone. I don't have a dog problem, just going by the label.

I bought this to repel runaway and roaming cats from pooping in my lawn. I have a crazy neighbor that feeds random animals behind my fence. And my lawn is there restroom. I have used products like Liquid fence that smells like garlic. Doesn't do the trick. But this is magic. At least for a week before it wears off. So I spray it every 3 days. But cats are all gone.

I think this solution works on a case-by-case basis. I live in a wooded area where my yard gets invaded by a MULTITUDE of various animals of all sizes, particularly deer, raccoons, foxes, my neighbor's dog and even turtles (there's a creek nearby as well). I've sprayed, and resprayed and the deer and my (irresponsible) neighbor's dog still invade my yard. Perhaps the ratio of solution-to-water I've mixed isn't ideal for my yard, or maybe I just need a stronger product. **shrugs** I'd suggest trying to gauge whether or not the product works for you.

After I built these planters, I sprayed the outside of the planter and didn’t have success with the spray. When I sprayed the mulch and the bottom of the flowers, the squirrels stayed out! I really sprayed a good amount on the mulch and it seemed to discourage the squirrels from digging up my bushes. I look forward to trying it on other flowers too.

(What's this)
This is a big improvement over a competing, very popular brand of deer spray I've been using for a few years. That brand smells putrid, and I dreaded having to use it because I'd always get some on my hands and it would stick around for a while. I was also concerned about this new product from Safer Brand, in part because I'd have to mix it into a spray bottle. I was imagining that any spillage would turn my garage into a truly terrible place to spend time! Luckily, despite the off-putting yellow-brown color of this product, it actually doesn't smell that bad at all. I stuck my nose up to the bottle and was pleasantly surprised - I didn't pass out! Then you also have to consider that it makes 256oz of spray once you dilute it 7 parts water to 1 part concentrate, and the value really comes through.

This Critter Ridder animal repellent did nothing! I sprayed it around where cats roam and squirrels dig up my lawn - followed the directions. One neighbor's dog walked straight thru the area where I sprayed, did not blink or sniff or turn around. I can't show you pictures of the animals that appeared because by the time I get my camera they have moved on. But I have photo evidence of the holes that were dug by squirrels.

I used this product for squirrels that were coming onto my roof and running around in my eves troughs. They were using the Power wire to get to my roof. I sprayed the wire and the entire area of the eves where the wire connects. I have not noticed the squirrel on the roof since I sprayed the product. I plan on spraying this around my Garden when it is planted later this spring and I am sure it will have similar results.

(What's this)
I have a large area of my yard that is planted with Holly Bushes and is above a concrete wall all along the back side of my property. I also have about 50' of raised bed garden. An ongoing issue I have had are the cats that seem to think my yard is their personal toilet. I have used the old Critter Ridderer in the past and it worked to some extent. When I saw the" new" Critter Ridder offered I decided to give it a try, This stuff really works, I watched the cat come into the area and immediately turned and ran. I think they have added pepper or something that really gives their nose a sting....If this hadnt worked I was prepared to use more extreme measures to rid my yard of them...

I LOVE DOGS, but they can be a pain in the yard. I sprayed the base of the shrubs along a fence and I was able to enjoy being outside without the neighbor's dog constantly barking. I couldn't smell a single thing, but obviously the dog did. The label suggests the product lasts for 30 days. The spray is a good deterrent because critters don't like the taste or smell. The sprayer is easy to squeeze and dispenses a good wide-range spray. The ingredients are partly natural (oil of black pepper), so it truly is a Safer Brand

(What's this)
I have about 20 pineapple plants growing and mostly thriving here in southwest Florida. While they are growing well, occasionally a hopper will come around with a taste for the leaves. I've strung some fence but a determined animal always seems to get past it. Although the label doesn't mention rabbits specifically, I was hopeful they would be repelled. No such luck! Three of the four plants pictured were damaged the day after application. The label says "skunks, groundhogs, dogs, cats, squirrels & raccoons". I will try a little spray around my mailbox to see if it repels the neighborhood dogs.
