Once Great, Now It Falls Apart
Been using this product for over 15 years with no issues. Even a dishwasher cycle or two, these sponges would hold up and never fall apart as they do today. Lately these ScotchBrite sponges last only 2-3 days before they begin to fall apart & separate! (See Pix. The glue is visible and appears to be intentionally water soluble). Obviously 3M changed the glue adhesive to a cheaper one. (Old adhesive was a light yellow, new adhesive is a deep mustard yellow... please see pix). I believe its all an effort to increase sales by their Marketing Team by cheapening the glue thus reducing its usable life by half... and you can completely forget about running them through a dishwasher cycle or two, that caused them to completely come apart. Sad, we loved this product from 3M, now we'll be looking for a better sponge.

With 45 years of washing dishes only by hand, I find this sponge exceptional compared to comparable sponges for comfort per shape, non-scratch yet plenty abrasive, better than avg odor control, good durability/longevity. As with any sponge, need to rinse out food particles then squeeze out moisture before storing up out of sink with good airflow to help it dry quickly , all to reduce bacterial growth/odors. I have used these particular sponges for at least 5 years.

Top layer has been peeling off, exposing glue
Purchased a six pack of these sponges over the weekend. The blue scrubbing layer peeled off after scrubbing one fork. Had to throw the sponge away because there was exposed glue and frankly the sponge looked disastrous. Tried another sponge from the same pack last night and the same thing happened. Top layer started peeling off and by the time I was finished with the small load of dishes, the layer was completely off. Very disappointing, this shouldn't happen. I did take photos and email the company.

Poorly made
The scrubbing part of the sponge separates rather quickly from the rest of the sponge, with normal kitchen use. I have a picture, but the photo function of this review appears to be disabled.

Hard Plastic Pieces found embedded in Sponge
The sponge contains pieces of hard plastic pieces embedded in the sponge. While the pieces of plastic don't interfere with scrub side wipe sponge side will cause possible damage. Only one of the 3 pack contains the hard plastic pieces.

What Happened?
I've been using these sponges for 10 years and never had issues. I've noticed recently that the scrubby layer starts to come apart from the sponge within a week of opening a new one. The sponge also starts to fall apart. I'm so disappointed. What happened? Why must a trusted brand change their manufacturing? To save money, I assume. But now you're losing loyal customers.

Reasonable Price Scrub Sponge
I've liked so many of the Scotch-Brite products and these are no exception. These non-scratch sponges are very reasonably priced and can be used on some many surfaces safely. Their cost is low enough that you don't need to worry about overusing it, and just merely taking a fresh one out of the package. It's a good size not to take us much space when not in use.

Quality changed for worse.
I have been using these sponges for years, and been satisfied with them. However the most recent package that I purchased all fall apart after only used to a few days. The scrub layer comes off from the sponge, and they are not very easy to use. I went to a friend's house and saw her sponge in the same condition. She also complained that they were falling apart after using for a short period of time.
