        A:  You must first take the air filter off it just slides to unlock. There are two tabs about 3” apart that you pry back with your fingers and lift up this will expose the batteries

            A:  I’m sorry but I’m not sure. I have had this trash can for a good year now and I have never had any problems with the trash can or with the plug in attachment. I love this trash can and it’s great if you have limited mobility as I do. This solves the problem of how will I open the top without bending or putting down the trash I have to put in to the trash can.
