The remote only works with 3 outlets. The other 3 outlets are always on and do not have the remote functionality.

Worked great for a number of years. Did its job.
I used it in kitchen to plug in a Keurig and to easily turn off the power going to the Keurig (which everyone should do). If not the Keurig can more quickly burn out a module inside if you leave it plugged in all the time; and who doesn’t do that? It has worked great for years. But recently the unit shuts itself off while brewing. Both red and green lights (surge and ground) are on but I can’t tell if that means the unit is defective; I guess it is. Keurig still works so I guess it must have done its job. I’d buy it again and will continue to use it where I don’t care about surge protection.

                  6 - Outlet Review
One of the connections is made out of plastic and is just a "holder", therefore with a 2 connector outlet, you are only using 1 of the 2 connections and the other connector is unusable.

works great as a space saver outlet, but the surge protector did not save my TV and there was only a light rain, I did not hear any thunder, I did not see any lighting, and the TV is Dead, and the red light is on where it says "SURGE"

I own the side socket with remote. Unlike a couple of reviews, mine has TWO metal outlet plugs. The non-swivel side is for use with the remote. The swivel side is for items that you want to remain on constantly. I use mine in a spare room where the outlet is not operated by the wall switch.

                      Works great as designed.
We have one of these is evey room with expensive electronics and they have not let us down. The additional plastic plug on the back of the unit is for supportive reasons. Therefore not to put strain on the wall outlet or the unit itself.
