The #9 x 1-1/2" SD Connector Screw can be used as the replacement for the .148" x 2-1/2" nail for the CS Strap. If you can installing the CS Strap over sheathing, you will want to use the #9 x 2-1/2" long screw instead. A:  CS16 needs to be installed with 8d(0.131")x2 1/2" common wire nails. However, we do not have information on its performance as a wall bracing mechanism. You would need to refer to the current Building Code for prescribed wall bracing solutions.
