Q:Would I be able to slide in my heater in the winter?
    by|Dec 24, 2022
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Unfortunately our birdbaths need to be stored indoors for winter and not exposed to freezing temps which would damage the material so leaving it out in winter with a heater would not be recommended and voids the warranty. -SLHG

      Answer This Question

A:  Hi Matt, unfortunately that part is not currently available in our parts dept. therefore you would need to purchase a new fountain from a retailer. Keep your stand and solar kit as good spare parts. You can enter your email on this item and the Home Depot will notify you when it's back in stock -Smart Solar

Q:Is this birdbath available without the solar feature?

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes we also make a Traditional Acadia Birdbath without the solar part in the middle. It is manufacturer's model# 70022 , and Home Depot item# 207062004. It has the same great whimsical look and costs less. Here is a link (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Smart-Garden-Acadia-Traditional-Birdbath-70022/207062004). -SLHG

Response from Smart LivingMar 24, 2023
Hi Dave, we are sorry to hear that. Something like that would usually only happen if it was left outside in freezing temps. We do have a warning about that on the front page of the manual. Since you said you've used it for 3 months I'm assuming that's the case here. If you don't have freezing temps in your area at all then feel free to contact our customer service team for assistance but if you did have it outside in freezing temps then unfortunately it would not be covered under warranty. -SLHG smartliving

I called in the order to HD Online, it was quick, and easy. It was packaged good, but still had some chips on the base. All the parts were intact. It is easy to pick up and carry. The directions were easy to follow. I put it together quickly. It looks deep, but it is shallow. The well that holds the solar pump is deep. It took almost 2 weeks before it needed additional water. That is a long time for the hot summer this year.It made a terrible sound when it needed additional water. If I wasn't around to hear it the pump might have burned out. When the sun hits it the water soars up,and makes a little bubbling noise. When the sun disappears it stops working. It is cute, especially with the little frogs all over it. Their eyes are painted on, not a professional job, but still cute.I didn't consider that the water would be hot from it sitting in the sun so the solar panel could work. The birds, and butterflies never visit it because the water is hot.I plan on moving it to an area where it can be viewed more as a decorative item. Come winter when things cool down around here it may get some visitors. I have had it over 3 weeks and no problems with the filter clogging. I gave it a four d/t the chips, and the shallowness of the bowl. The picture makes it look deep. I still recommend it because it is cute, and adds whimsy to the garden.

This is the cutest bird bath. Its not to big, or heavy. The fountain is so sweet.

            SolarArcadia Birdbath
I haven't had a bidbath in the yard in ages and decided it was time. I found this birdbath and found it fun & whimsical. It arrived quickly and only took a few minutes to assemble. It's light enough to empty, move and clean, but hefty enough not to get blown over. As other reviews have stated, it does need direct sunlight to run with the sprayer head, and the lack of a battery is its only detriment. I may try to figure out a way to add a battery on this fountain. If it works, I'll let you know what I did.

            Looks Nice
I'm happy with the bird bath but wish that it had a back up battery so that it would work even when the sun isn't out or when it's behind a cloud. Definitely has to have direct sun. Very happy with the quality although I think it is priced a little on the high side. I was happy that it is fairly heavy so I don't have to worry about it falling over.

            Great Bird Bath!
Very happy with this bird bath. Yes, it does require direct sunshine to make the pump work. I found nice sunny spot in my backyard that keeps it running from 10am to 4pm. The birds love it. I've got a regular bird bath as well and rarely see any birds drinking or taking a bath from it. Not only does this solar one attract birds but I frequently see bees taking a drink as well. I do replace the water daily and rinse out the bowl and pump twice a week. The little filter inside the pump also needs cleaning. Love the frog design. Nice and relaxing to sit near it and listen to the water fountain.
