Answer

If the garage is constructed if wood, no conduit is required. If, however, you are running along a concrete wall, then you will need to run it within conduit attached to the concrete. Take the conduit through the wall to the box. You will likely need 1 inch EMT and fittings-maybe larger.

My sub panel is full and no space to add 50amp circuit breaker. My main breaker on the other hand have 1 more space.

Are you certain that's the rating you need for that supply? If so, the alternative is to supply a subpanel then use it to supply other circuits. That's what I was left with on an old home short of a complete rewire. That satisfied my need for a couple years until the home is remodeled and will get a new rewire.

Worked perfect. Ran this wire to a sub panel with a 50Amp breaker supplying power in the main panel. Needed to run two separate 20Amp outlets for garage refrigerator and freezer. Also ran an additional 20amp line for a garage outlet where I can use my saws or charge all my power tool batteries.
