About This Product

Spa Time Brominating Granules are easy-to-use, low-odor granules designed to quickly sanitize your spa water. Specially formulated quick-dissolving granules will keep your water sparkling clear and odor-free. Using Spa Time Brominating Granules regularly will help you maintain balanced spa water. An unkempt spa can quickly become a breeding ground for harmful bacteria due to the wet, hot environment. It's important to test your spa water frequently to maintain a pH balance of 7.2-7.6 and a bromine level of 3-6 ppm. Additionally, remember to drain, clean, and refill your spa every 90 days.

Questions & Answers

Do I need to do anything special to switch from chlorine to bromine in my spa?

Answer This Question

Hi Mike. We are the manufacturer of PoolTime products. Due to the cycle Bromine undergoes, converting only involves adding a source of bromine, like our Brominating Tabs or Granules, for routine sanitation. Please give us a call at 800-252-7665 if you have any further questions. We are available Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm EST.

Can this be used in a fountain to keep water clean without affecting the fountain pump and the fountain finish? If so, what is the recommended dosage for a 25-30 gallon fountain?

Is this pure bromine If not, what is the percentage of bromine?
        ByMar 1, 2024

        Answer This Question

This product contains 100% Sodium Bromide. It's important to note that while this product is used for bromination, it's not pure bromine itself. It's a compound that releases bromine when it reacts with water.

Works as expected and maintains clear water when properly balanced. Must use bromine as a sanitizer for hot tubs with higher temperature water as chlorine is not as effective. Typical price for 2lbs.
