Not what you think
It looks big but inside was small, also back of the mail box exposed the wooden post, not slip on, we bought this online, other than that is a good looking mailbox.

Sturdy I guess..
What I received didn’t match the image on the box, it looks totally different, not sure if it’s an upgraded version. I haven’t assembled it yet but the package for the screws were open, I can only hope I have it all. The mail box it self is large and feels sturdy. Hopefully when I put it together it turn out good. 4x4 not included. So far not bad for the price.

The reason for only two stars, no hardware in the box. We contacted the company right away and still after weeks have heard nothing back. That's disappointing and unprofessional. Luckily I had my own hardware to get the job done. With that out of the way we can move on. For the price it's pretty much what I expected. I actually thought it would just slip over the post but the back is open and unattached to the mailbox. It just has a piece of plastic that you screw into the 4X4 for ascetics. The body is held solely by what I'd guess are two lag bolts and washers on the front, that you can see in the stock pictures. I ended up using 3" coarse thread #8 deck screws (pre-drilled the holes) and stainless washers. I'm confident they'll hold fast. The box itself slides into a channel and is secured by 4 small screws driven directly into plastic. I added washers also. Those screws only keep the top from sliding off. Unless you have a very aggressive postman, they should do their intended job. I still am biased against anything threading into plastic other than plastic.I may add a little epoxy to the threads because that still wears on my brain. Anywho....I would have given four stars had the company not been negligent in responding. The cautionary tale - Don't 100% expect everything that's supposed to be in the box, to be in the box, with this purchase. I still recommended it because none of this was a deal breaker for me.

It was time to replace our aging mailbox.
After 50+ years of service, it was time to replace our mailbox. About 5 years ago, my neighbor had installed a Mastermail mailbox and it was still looking good. I checked with my neighbor and they were still pleased with it. I went on-line to the Mastermail webpage and found a close match to my neighbor's mailbox. I ordered it on-line and had it shipped to Home Depot near me (free shipping). I received a tracking number to follow the shipment and an email from Home Depot when the shipment arrived. All went like clockwork.
