A: I guess if the hot tub is not that big it’s able to do the job. It probably works on a hot tub cover without damaging it, plus the length of it helps do the job. I’m sorry but I can’t further help you with your question, I never had a hot tub.
A: Although not designed for this purpose ,I can't see why it wouldn't work .
A: It should work great due to the long adjustable handle and silicon squeegee scraper.
A: I bought this just before a snow storm and loved that It would let me get to the top of the suv where you normally can't reach, I actually used it for my whole vehicle .. it worked better than the typical brush.
A: Take it back to HD's customer service department. They will evaluate the issue. Bring your receipt if you still have it. If you had purchased with a Home Depot charge card, they will be able to look up your purchase. I've had my sweeper for a couple years now, and have never had a problem with it.
A: Depends on how long ago you bought it. A receipt is helpful in matters like this. So if it was purchased this winter season and you have a receipt, take it back to the store where you purchased it with the receipt and you should be able to get a replacement. Just keep in mind, like most products, this has a limited warranty.
A: Take it back to the store & with your receipt, you should get a replacement.

A: My snow sweeper is now a couple years old. Its default position seems to be as you pictured. Other than extending its handle, I never knew it could go to a different position. Try taking it back to the store to have customer service take a look at it. Your unit may be defective. This is by far the best snow sweeper I've ever had.
A: The blade should simply lock into the open position when you push the button. You should hear a click and the blade locks into position. I would say yours may be defective if the blade doesn't click into position and stay put.
A: You push the button in the middle to extend the arm and if need be you can use the top push button to make it swivel.
A: You didn't specify which part you're having trouble with. So the telescoping portion works by pushing the tab while pulling or pushing the extension into or out of the handle. To lock the extension (which has holes) must line up to the push tab at the appropriate length. The scraper portion only has 3 positions, left right or straight. To change it's position, push the large button on the side while applying slight pressure to either side of the scraper. When the scraper reaches the proper angle, it will lock itself in that position.
A: The red locking button where it swivels out is designed to hold it in place.
A: The blade is plastic.
A: yes it is
A: yes it is. safe for car surfaces
