Not as good as older same design bike rack
We have an older but same design bike rack for 2 bikes. The older bike rack is much better and we have used it for years.
(5 stars). This new same design Swagman bike rack seemed to have been improved.
BUT, it has two annoying issues not found on the older design.
#1: the new bar that attaches into the car hitch is 4" shorter than the older racks' bar. This puts the inside bike closer to Your car, and You could possibly scratch Your car with the bike pedal!
#2: the center support on the new rack for the two bikes folds side to side, and not out of the way, making it very awkward to put the inside bike on the rack. The center support on the older rack folds away from the vehicle completely out of the way, making putting both bikes on super easy.
This new rack would be excellent for one bike in the outside position.
The rack does have excellent build quality.
But due to the above two mentioned issues, we cannot recommend it for two bikes.

The best bike rack. I had to use several bungee...
The best bike rack. I had to use several bungee cords to secure 2 beach cruisers with slanted cross bar. Also using additional bungee cords tied from bikes to my 4Runner’s roof rack dampened any side to side movements.
I used Velcro to further secure wheels. Drove from Houston to Fort Worth through rolling hills without an issue.

One of the easiest bike racks to assemble and use that I have ever seen. No bungee cords needed. Easy hook and clamp system make transporting 2 bikes simple. Highly recommend.
