Can you add a 20" or similar tip extension to the sprayer?

Asked by BillB November 20, 2020

Yes you can. There is a 24" extension, part number 651-073, that is available. Once you purchase the extension make sure you switch our the tip guard and put the one from the gun on the end of the extension. Feel free to call us at 1-800-328-8251 if you have any further questions.

A pressure gauge can be added to any HEA sprayer. It's part #0580402A. Call for pricing at 1-800-328-8251.

Can this sprayer be used for smaller areas like painting the inside of kitchen cabinets and drawers?

Asked by Dogmom January 10, 2019

I would not recommend for small areas because it has a wide spray pattern and puts out a lot of paint quickly. I used it on my kitchen cabinet drawer fronts and door panels which I removed first, of course. Coverage was fast but a lot of over spray on my work table which can be messy. A sprayer with adjustment to the spray width and flow control for the paint would be more suitable to smaller areas that you mention.

Asked by Becka August 24, 2018

There is no adjustment to the spray pattern so I would not recommend for a two inch wide trim. It puts out a 8-10 inch wide spray pattern so beware of small areas.

What a great little sprayer!!! I stained my deck and the results were great!! For anyone with a wood deck that stains or paints it by hand you need to get this sprayer!! I can't believe I stained my deck by hand last year but never again!!! This sprayer made a dreaded chore more of a pleasure! It was so much quicker and less taxing on the body. You definitely want to put prep time in such as covering walls, so that any over spray doesn't get on the house but surprisingly there was not much over spray except around tight areas. The sprayer itself is convenient and easy to use, you can put it together in 5-10 minutes. It's lightweight so it's easy to move around as needed. One note the plug cord barely sticks out from the unit so be sure to have an extension cord handy. The tip sprayed a nice and smooth fan of stain, it did get clogged once but cleared right up after rinsing with the hose. With the sprayer the stain coated more evenly than when I painted on by hand. This is an awesome tool to have around when needed to simplify paint and stain projects! It was also easy to clean, you just have to run a bucket of water thru the sprayer and wash off the tip! Great investment if you have a deck or painting project that needs constant refreshing!

Robust, consumer quality sprayer suited to larger DIY jobs. Full disclosure: I haven't tackled a real project with this yet; I've only tested it. I got it to spray oil-based wood preservative on our deck and to repaint the popcorn-style ceiling in our basement -- but it's been too cold to start the first project and I still have furniture to move before I can take on the second. So these impressions are based on unboxing, setup, and a quick test with some leftover paint. Pros: Simple assembly, solid build quality, clear instructions, performance as expected (reasonably soft, even spray pattern). My only previous experience had been with small, handheld sprayers, and this certainly has more power -- and the potential to make short work of large coverage areas. A couple of concerns: First, the 25-ft hose is going to be a bit restrictive, particularly if you're up on a ladder, and moving the unit, paint bucket, and waste bucket is a bit of a juggling act. Second, setup, cleanup and prep for storage are also a bit complicated, so if you were just painting a mid-sized room with some trim work, for instance, this might not be the tool best suited to the job. For the sort of projects that I'm about to take on, though, that involve lots of square footage and surfaces that just aren't practical to cover with a roller or brush, this promises to be a wonderful solution. Recommended.

This sprayer delivers a very thin, soft, and uniform spray pattern which would serve best for the do-it-yourselfers or painter apprentices who are new to the job and inexperienced. This system is very forgiving of mistakes, and left my work without any runs. Simply shooting primer, I didn't have to go higher than a 2 on the 1-5 settings. Albeit 1 could be used for stains. I DEFINITELY saw a significant decrease in over-spray. However this may be due to less paint output overall. Titan boasts their pump will last three times longer than the leading competitors, but we'll have to wait and see. The storage compartment at the top is very handy and has the holes to securely hold 4 tips and all other necessary tools like wrenches, small brushes or rollers, etc. The tabs lock into place but can be frustrating to grip and open. I LOVE how the paint feed is designed; tabs that stick out to suck out as much paint from the bottom of the bucket/gallon as possible until needing to be switched out. This lets you paint more efficiently and without distraction. The filter was very effective at filtering out the crud from somewhat old paint. I like the fact that the electrical plug is clear and glows up . . . it's a standard safety measure every tool should have, but especially those which can cause lots of personal and material damage if mistaken to be off. The 25 ft. hose coils up too easily as a direct result of it being VERY rigid. It tangles inside of itself and is quite a nuisance. The clips that hold the two hoses together are quite weak, and I lost one of them, having to use a zip tie in place. All the connections are tight but relatively easy to remove and do not leak. It would have been even better if it came with a complimentary wrench to tighten the fittings, but they're standard sizes anybody will have in their toolbox anyways. I wouldn't throw away the original caps for all the hose ends, as they will prevent debris from entering into the lines. One small quirk that drives me nuts is that the back of the handle is hollow. But some would say this adds design. Either way, a tool is made to function rather than look, and this passes the test for me in many ways.

This is a really nice paint sprayer that is easy to use. Due to the amount of cleanup needed after use, this paint sprayer, like most paint sprayers, is ideal for medium to large projects. It’s simple to setup, operate and clean, and will accept most paints and stains straight out of the can without thinning. I was not overly familiar with the Titan brand, so I conducted some research online and learned that Titan was acquired by Wagner in 1999, and that there are some very expensive professional sprayers under the Titan brand. This sprayer requires set up prior to use. Most of the set up can be performed without tools, but I’d recommend using an adjustable wrench to tighten the air hose to the air inlet at the front of the sprayer, to ensure a good connection with no leaks. I really like the storage area on top of the sprayer for holding a small hand tool and a couple of paint tips. The on/off and pressure control knob is up front where it is easy to access, but I wish is extended a bit further to make it easier to operate. The spray gun is solid, feels comfortable in the hand, and features a hanger incorporated into the top of the sprayer gun. I was hoping to see a long power cord, but the power cord is short at about a foot in length, so you will need an extension cord with a ground. The adjustable speed control and interchangeable paint sprayer tips help minimize overspray, but until you become proficient with using a sprayer, I’d recommended covering floors and objects in the room. The sprayer head is tethered to a 25-foot hose and is capable of spraying at any angle, even upside down without clogging, which is a great capability. Longer hoses for this speayer are available. Like any paint sprayer, to achieve good results you need to keep the sprayer moving all the while maintaining a proper and consistent distance from the surface being painted otherwise the spray pattern will be uneven or drippy. The paint sprayer produces a powerful, constant spray, without excessive spitting, that rivals sprayers that operate by compressed air, allowing me to move more quickly than with other brand sprayers I’ve used, which tend to be underpowered and require more time to achieve good coverage. For my initial test, I painted a dining room in my home using Behr Marquis interior paint. The sprayer applied the paint straignt out of the can, with an even spray pattern. The spray immediately stops when you release the trigger. Control was good and the high-efficiency of this sprayer applies material where it is supposed to be, without creating a lot of overspray. Since the sprayer draws material directly out of a bucket or can, there is very little down time for refills and a lot less cleanup than with sprayers that rely on a small paint cup to deliver paint and stain. There is a fair amount of plastic in the construction of this sprayer, but the quality is decent, and it doesn't look or feel cheap like many products designed for the DIY consumer market. Overall, this is a good quality and easy to use paint sprayer, and I highly recommend it, but be aware that only one paint tip is included, and extra paint tips will set you back to the tune of about $25 each. While I’m not ready to completely abandon my brushes, rollers and paint trays because they are necessary for trim and small paint projects, I can definitely see myself reaching for this sprayer for medium to large painting projects, including indoor paintin projects. Although I dislike painting with a passion, this sprayer makes it much less of a chore.

Finally, a high-end sprayer that is easy to use and clean. I have to say the best feature is the spray volume adjustment for this sprayer. The sprayer is easy to get going. Priming was easy.. The sprayer applied the paint evenly and with ease. I have sprayed paint for many years. Clean-up is crucial to all sprayers. I recommend you throughly clean the sprayer and internal components. Easy to follow instructions helped using the sprayer for the first time. Once you get going, you are home-free. I would say if there is any drawback, this sprayer is more suited for medium to large projects. I used this on a small area and it took more time to set up and clean up that it was worth. However, I did get a good feel for the sprayer. Also, you will want to purchase extra hose to keep going without having to move the sprayer.

Very excited that Home Depot Carries the Titan Brand. I have a larger unit for work that has never let me down as long as you keep it cleaned. This small 1500 size is great for around the house and home and on small commercial projects as well. Love the size while still being able to move quite a bit of paint. Huge plus that this does stain as well. Did I mention the tips are much cheaper that some of the other brands out there. This sprayer is a great deal for the money. Very robust, easy to clean, efficient with minimal over spray, and readily available cheap parts
