I don't see why not. I have USCellular for my iPhone and Spectrum internet. Others have Verizon phone and have no problems. I can't imagine why it wouldn't.

How to hook it up

Answer

The router can be conveniently set up using the steps outlined in the included Quick Instlalation Guide, which is also available on our website here: https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201905/20190507/7106507951_Archer%20C50A5(US)_QIG_V1.pdf

what is the rang of this router

Asked by Steven September 24, 2020

Answer

WiFi range varies depending on your network environment (i.e. physical obstructions such as walls, etc.) and where in your home you place the router. We always suggest placing the router in a location that is as central as possible, to ensure optimal range in all directions. If you have a larger home (2500+ square feet), we may suggest considering our Deco Mesh WiFi systems instead.

So will this Wi-Fi router work with charter spectrum?

Asked by Bama1fan August 9, 2018

Answers

This router works with my Time-Warner/Spectrum. My other routers won't, because it was necessary for the router to emulate the MAC address of the primary computer. Most routers don't have this option and Spectrum tech support won't tell you anything useful to get your non-Spectrum router working.

Will it be compatible with spectrum modems

About time to upgrade
An extremely important piece of equipment for the home or office is a wireless router. This unit replaced an older router we had from the same company. Never had any issues with the prior system so we got this replacement. Super easy to set up. Lightweight construction meant we could hang it on the wall as desk space is always short. The antenna are adjustable for maximum effect. We have an older computer in another room that always had trouble linking up. Now, no problem. Great upgrade, great price.

Nice Router
This is an excellent latest generation of wireless routers. Installation cannot be easier. I plugged my Internet provider RJ45 into the Internet port of the C50, pushed the button next to the RJ45 internet port, waited 2 minutes and everything came on a working fine. Signal level is very high and the performance measures are outstanding. On both the 2.4 and 5GHZ SERVICES I consistently achieved 55MHZ download, 50MHZ upload, pings less than 7ms, very low bufferbloat and 0% packet loss. I have fiber optic internet service. The two-antenna range is excellent, checked in at over 100 feet with walls in between. The product administration software is intuitive and very easy to use. Chromecasting to my TV worked extremely well also. It is better than any wireless router I have used so far. There are 4 Ethernet ports and a USB port on the back for connecting other devices. It's at a price point that is affordable for most.

Very happy with new router!
I was using a wireless router that was about five years old and thought it was time for an upgrade. Boy was I right. This works great! The WIFI is used mostly by phones and tablets but I also use WIFI for the PC in the back guest room. I used this PC to test it out and the difference was noticeable. The indicator lights on the front are nice and it looks cool.

Secure router with great range
The TP-Link Archer C50 is easy to install and use. Besides the connection to your modem, it has 4 additional RJ11 ports so you can plug in additional devices or PC's for wired connections. Plus it has a USB port where you can plug in your printer giving it wireless access or an external hard drive. There are dual antennae which I think improves the range. I can sit out on my patio with my laptop and get connected with fast speeds. As a matter of fact, I posted this review while enjoying the nice day outside using this wireless router.

A good solid router
I don't understand everything I've read about this router. I am not up to speed on things like GHz, Mbps, and IEEEs. This TP-LINK wireless Dual Band Router is jam packed with features. We live in a remote area and our ISP is sometimes not the best. So as I read about all the things this router has to offer, it reminds me of taking a high performance car on a rocky mountain road. It is capable of much more than it will be asked to do. The installation could not be easier. Just attach internet cable, ethernet cable and plug it in. It even has a USB port for a printer. I haven't figured that out yet. The Wi/Fi on and off button easily connects laptops, tv's etc but my smartphone wanted a security key/password. I found it on the bottom of the router in very small print. Since installing this router there hasn't been as many reboots to restore the internet. In fact, now that I think about it, it's only happened once That is very good!! This is a good solid router. Buy with confidence.

I bought this router as a backup to a similar TP that was malfunctioning; I was able to return it after customer support worked with me to perform step-by-step actions that got my other router back online. So my praise is not only for the router itself but also for the excellent customer support.
