I used mine to mount a clam rake head. I drilled out the hole a bit to better fit the tang of the clam rake head which had a hole in it for running a screw through it. I cross drilled a small hole through the ferrule and wood and checked the fit. Then I installed it with gorilla glue and installed the screw with a lock nut. It installation totally solid.

Yes! Just have to remove your old rake head & hammer it into the new handle. I drilled a small pilot hole to start with then pounded the rake head in firmly. It is quite solid & holds just fine.

I replaced a broken heavy metal rake handle with this and it worked out great. I had to widen the hole at the end with a 1/2" drill, then I pounded on the other end until the metal rake was securely in place. I love being able to repair over replace.

I would buy this over and over again. I drilled out a single through-bolt hole to match the bolt size. Added lock washer and attached to my 36" landscape rake to leveling minus gravel. Worked just like a professional one

Good solid handle - I had to use a drill to widen the hole a bit, but once I was able to get the tang of my tool into the opening of the handle, I was able to prop it against a solid surface and use a hammer on the other end of the handle to knock it in the rest of the way - tight fit - I hope it lasts! I prefer repairing old tools rather than replacing them for a higher price, so this was a great buy. Would have given 5 stars if I didn't have to drill the opening - especially since a lot of bow rakes have an oblong tang formed by a metal u-shaped curve.
