Which flashing kit do I need for FCM 1430 0004
Elizabeth, the flashing kit you will need is determined by the roof pitch and roof material you will be installing with. Please contact us with the details of your project and we will be glad to assist you in making the correct choice. If this is being used on a shingle roof, the flashing kit is called: ECL 1446 0000C. For tile or thick shake material, the kit needed is: ECW 1446 0000C.

What is the curb size
Outside curb dimension needed is 25 1/2 x 49 1/2 inches.
Can this be installed on a metal roof?
Yes, you can install this skylight onto a metal roof. (up to 60 degree roof pitch) Your roofer or installer will need to fabricate their own flashing for this application as VELUX does not have a kit for this roofing material type.
I need to replace an existing damaged opening skylight (original manufacturer, Sunoptics, no longer makes residential skylights). The existing curb opening including flashing is 26.5 inches by 38 inches. What skylight will fit?

We can discuss your measurements and application to help you find the best product to meet your needs. The VCM/VCS/VCE models in size 2234 have an outside curb measurement of 25-1/2" x 37-1/2" and a maximum skylight clearance of 26-5/8" x 38-5/8", this may work for you, but I would recommend calling so we can get all of the details from you and have a clear understanding of what is needed for the correct replacement.
My current skylight accumulates a lot of condensation on the inside frame. Do Velux skylights have a thermal break or some other way to prevent condensation from forming on the frame inside the home?
They do have a thermal break and have desiccant that wicks moisture from in between the glass panes and away from the skylight. There are methods to reduce condensation from occurring and we have a brochure that may be helpful to you to contain this situation. What accessories are needed for the installation on a flat roof
VELUX does not manufacture flat roof flashing kits for this series. Your roofer or installer will need to fabricate something onsite to accommodate this application.
