The listing states, "Dual heavy duty battery clamps", while the image shows a cigarette lighter plug. Does the unit come with both?
Asked by: Victor
Negative. The description is incorrect. The 85p is a round plug only ("cigarette lighter plug in" for lack of a better name).

I just bought this from homedepot. My car's cigarettes outlets says 12V&120W. So maximum 10Amps. Should I use it?

85P maximum withdraws 15Amp
Asked by: Masud
If you detect high temperature at the plug or outlet, let it rest a few minutes. Best to use an adapter to connect the plug to battery clips, or remove the plug and install clips. These are commonly available at Radio Shack, auto parts stores, and probably Home Depot. Watch cord length! Long heavy cords with clips are best, but are seldom provided.

Work for Class A motorhome tires?

Tire pressure is so important. I need something that won't take all day to air up these big tires that can plug in somewhere in order to get to all six tires. The motorhome is 35 feet long. Any suggestions?
Asked by: Russo
As long as you have standard tire valve stem and do not need to inflate over 60psi

They don't last. I reviewed the Viair and bought it. I've used it numerous times, it works great. I just purchased two to give as presents. I would definitely recommend the product.

Works great on our SUV tires as well as the sedan. Always there when I need it - saves me trips to the gas station. I always take it with me on road trips just in case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome portable compressor Pros-It's small enough to carry in your trunk right alongside your jumper cables for emergencies. It's easy and hassle free enough to use all the time instead of unrolling your garage compressors hose. Just plug it into the 12v socket in your vehicle. Has a built in psi gauge. On/off switch right at your fingertips. It's light, has rubber feet to prevent it from "walking" off during use. Have used it a bunch of times to adjust tire pressures on my 3 vehicles with no issues. Cons- Takes a little longer to inflate tires than a service station or a 2 stage compressor. Wish the power chord was a few feet longer so you can get to both sides of the vehicle without unplugging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best portable compressor I have bought a lot of junky portable compressors through the years, including the stuff at my local Home Depot store. This Viar compressor (available on homedepot.com but not in my local store) is far superior. Really really good. Would suggest that Home Depot start stocking it in their local stores.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 85P Portable Compressor Small and easy to use but the cord length isn't good for vans. I bought an aftermarket cigarette lighter to battery terminal so I can also power this off car batteries. Works well and we have 3 cars. The gauge reading differs from my built in car gauge….don't know which one is correct! In general, you need to hold the switch on til the gauge reads about 1 to 2 psi over what you desire and then let go of switch. Let it cool a bit and then take a reading.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am pleased with my purchase. This inflater works quietly and smoothly. The gauge is accurate and I like the fact that the hose screws on to the valve stem on my tires. (I have had others that popped off or leaked all the time.) The power cord needs to be a little longer. This inflater aired my tires quicker than any I've had before but this one costs more than any I've had before. Overall I'm very satisfied.
